Attention 6th graders: You will report to the auditorium for advisory this week. Look for your advisor to make sure he/she knows you are here as attendance will be taken.
DECA applications for HS students are available in Room 210 or on the CMS DECA webpage. All forms must be returned along with your membership dues.
CMS HOSA will sponsor our 1st drive of the school year on Thursday, 8-29 from 7:30 to 1:00 in the gym. You may donate if you are 16 (with parent consent) and 17 & up. There is a link to the sign up on the CMS homepage & HOSA webpage! Each donation saves 3 lives & you help increase our Senior HOSA Scholarship money with each donation! Red, White & Blue theme!!
All class change requests require a form, which is located outside of Guidance. Any changes to add a new class must be submitted by Aug. 21. Any changes to drop levels or for a study hall must be submitted by Sept. 4. See your counselor for questions.
We will kick off College Corner this Tuesday, Aug. 20 with visits from Harding University and the Army National Guard with our very own Jordan Wilcox! Stop by and see them anytime between 12:30-1:30.
The middle school volleyball team beat Rockvale last night in 3 sets!
The middle school volleyball teams plays at home this afternoon against Oakland. Come out and support your Lady Tigers!! Game starts at 4:30!
The Middle School girls Varsity soccer team defeated Rock Springs 4 to 1. Claudia Mitchell and Julia Ann Hamilton had two goals and two assists each. Mikayla Harris had three saves. The JV also won 3 to 2. Hayley Mangrum had 3 goals while Breanna Gonzalez, Odessa Chabot and Nicole Bryson each had a save. Sophia Stringfield had 5 saves and Alyssa Lanier had six goals. The next game is August 22nd at Whitworth Buchanan, game time is 4:30.
Any current high school softball players who were not at the meeting on Thursday night need to come see Coach Stearns in the gym. 

Anyone who did not make it to spring tryouts but is interested in playing high school softball should come see Coach Stearns at their earliest convenience.
HS Volleyball won their first district game against Marshall County last night. Top scorers were Meredith Page and Mia Finley with 9 kills each, Chloe Marson had 24 assists, and Phoebe Stewart had 7 digs. Congratulations to the HS Volleyball team. The Varsity plays Cannon County tonight at 6:00 here at Central.
