CMS HOSA will sponsor our 1st drive of the school year on Thursday, 8-29 from 7:30 to 1:00 in the gym. You may donate if you are 16 (with parent consent) and 17 & up. “High schoolers! Do you enjoy cooking and learning about the cultures of other countries and their food? A new club at Central, Culinary Enthusiasts, will meet during ‘A’ Club Rotation and one afternoon every other week in the upstairs teacher lounge. We are holding an interest meeting this Thursday, 8/22, at 3:00 in Ms. Muck’s room, Room 123. If this sounds like the club for you, come out to this meeting or ask one of us for more details!”
Attention 8th graders in Ms. Pinson's Advisory: If your last name begins with a "G" you will go to Ms. Crawley-Harrison's room for Advisory, and with an "H" to Mr. Barham's until she returns from Maternity leave in September. Thank You!
All Middle Schoolers interested in Jr. BETA should be submitting applications. If you are new to Jr. BETA you should fill out the application on the Jr. BETA website AND submit your last report card with the final grades highlighted to Mrs. Stanley's classroom. If you are a returning member to Jr. BETA Mrs. Stanley still needs your highlighted report card.
All class change requests require a form, which is located outside of Guidance. Any changes to add a new class must be submitted by Aug. 21. Any changes to drop levels or for a study hall must be submitted by Sept. 4. See your counselor for questions.
Any current high school softball players who were not at the meeting on Thursday night need to come see Coach Stearns in the gym. 

Anyone who did not make it to spring tryouts but is interested in playing high school softball should come see Coach Stearns at their earliest convenience.
The high school girl's soccer team won 4-3 last night. Maria Kime and Ashliegh Clark each scored twice off of three assists from Brooke Dugan. Zoe London also had an assist. In goal, Avery Pogue had 4 saves.
The Tiger Golf teams swept Riverdale yesterday at Indian Hills. Senior Dawson Massengale led the boys with an 84, and Sophomore "Hey" Rachel Chan led all golfers with a 77. Next week the Tigers will face Riverdale and Smyrna at Old Fort.
High school varsity volleyball won their second district game last night. The lady tigers are currently undefeated! The top scorers included: Meredith Page with 11 kills and 5 aces, Caroline Dykes with 6 kills, and Phoebe Stewart with 5 digs and 8 aces. Volleyball is playing Lawrence County on Thursday and they hope to see you there!
