Attention high school students! Are you interested in traveling to Europe this summer? There will be an interest meeting for students and parents next Tuesday, September 10th at 6:30 in the Senior Cafeteria. See Mr. Cato or Coach Kirksey for more information.

The link to the Mu Alpha Theta Application is on the website. If you are interested in joining Mu Alpha Theta, you need to fill out the application and pay your fees to Mrs. Pigg in room 116 by September 20th. This is for High School only.

Senior Beta Members - please fill out the service area of interest form that is on the club’s main page. There is also a service opportunity for Candle Wishes - an organization which provides birthday wishes and essential items to children in need. Please look under the service tab for more information about this and other service opportunities.
September 13 is the last day to register for the PSAT. The cost is $17 and registration is in attendance. Please see attendance or your guidance counselor if you have any questions.
This week, (Sept. 9-13) is jammed packed with fabulous colleges visiting CMS!! Wednesday, Providence College will be here. On Friday, Emory, U Chicago, and Emerson College will finish out the week! Make sure you get by and see them all during C/D lunch each day!

The Barfield Elementary School Fall Book Fair will be in the Barfield library on Wed., Sept. 11 - the evening of Fri. the 13th. Students may volunteer on two dates. They may help set up and run the fair on 9/11. That will be a couple of hours or so, from the time they can arrive (3:15/3:30 or so) until 5:30 p.m. On 9/13, they need volunteers from the time they can arrive (3:15/3:30 or so) - 8:00 p.m.. There will be an archer parent meeting for both new and existing archers on Thursday, September 19th at 6 pm in the CMS Cafeteria. If your child plans on joining the 2019-2020 CMS Archery Team, you will need to attend this meeting.
The Central Magnet boys fell to Stewart’s Creek yesterday. Senior Dawson Massengale led the Tigers with a 79.
The Lady Tigers defeated Stewart’s Creek. Although the match was cut short due to lightning, senior Aleah Lowe led the girls with a 58 after 12 holes.
Congratulations to the Middle School Tennis team on their win against Stewarts Creek yesterday. They play Oakland at 4pm tomorrow.
High School Volleyball team beat Tullahoma HS last night 3-0. Caroline Dykes had 17 Aces, Meredith Craig had 10 kills and 5 digs, Chloe Marson had 22 Assists, and Carolyn Peay had 5 digs. They play again on Thursday at Cannon County
The Middle School Varsity girls soccer team lost to Siegel last night 6 to 0. Makayla Harris had 6 saves. The JV game was stopped due to lightning and will be rescheduled for another day. The next game is Thursday here against Rockvale. Game time is 4:30 with the JV immediately after
