Attention high school students! Are you interested in traveling to Europe this summer? There will be an interest meeting for students and parents next Tuesday, September 10th at 6:30 in the Senior Cafeteria. See Mr. Cato or Coach Kirksey for more information.

The link to the Mu Alpha Theta Application is on the website. If you are interested in joining Mu Alpha Theta, you need to fill out the application and pay your fees to Mrs. Pigg in room 116 by September 20th. This is for High School only.

High School Quiz Bowl interest meeting: Monday after school, Room 120
September 13 is the last day to register for the PSAT. The cost is $17 and registration is in attendance. Please see attendance or your guidance counselor if you have any questions.
This week, (Sept. 9-13) is jammed packed with fabulous colleges visiting CMS!! Friday, Emory, U Chicago, and Emerson College will finish out the week! Make sure you get by and see them all during C/D lunch each day!
Rutherford County online classes for quarter 2 are now open for registration. See your counselor for details.
Any student taking the ACT this Saturday MUST have a photo ID to be admitted. You will NOT be admitted to test if you do not have a photo ID at any location. ACT has strict guidelines about this! Also remember to bring a calculator, snack, your admission ticket, and pencils. See your counselor for questions.
Any middle schooler's interested in auditioning for Elf Jr., there will be a parent information meeting on Wednesday, Sep 18th at 6:00pm in Miss Andersen's classroom. You will get all the information you need for auditions. Requirements, dates, times, etc.
High School students interested in being on Tech Crew for the Fall play, please pick up an application from Miss Andersen in room 344 by Monday Sep. 16th.
Attention all students. The Campus Fall Festival is happening on Friday September 27 from 3 until 6-6:30 and you can earn service hours by volunteering to help out. There is a chance to also get roughly 4 maybe 5 hours depending on the need for clean-up after the festival. There is a need for 40 or so volunteers! This is for both MS and HS. Go to Coach Nichols' website for the signup link. See Coach Nichols or Ms. Harrison if you have any questions.
There will be an archer parent meeting for both new and existing archers on Thursday, September 19th at 6 pm in the CMS Cafeteria. If your child plans on joining the 2019-2020 CMS Archery Team, you will need to attend this meeting.
The Middle School Varsity Girls soccer team defeated Rockvale 5 to 0. McKayla Nolen and Reily Gusman each scored 2 goals and Julia Ann Hamilton scored one. Maddie Degnan and Reily Gusman had 2 assists each and Julia Ann Hamilton had one. MiKayla Harris had 5 saves. The lady Tigers are now tied for first place with a record of 7 wins and one loss. The JV Team lost a real close game 2 to 1. Breanna Gonzalez had the goal and Aliya Higinbotham had the assist. Sophia Stringfield had 5 saves and Alyssa Lanier had seven saves. The next game is Tuesday at LaVergne. Game time is 4:30.
Middle school tennis fought hard against Oakland yesterday. Match wins went to Ty Brown, Patrick Cowart, Uma Sood, Mallory Speight and Sakina and Aleeza Razzaq. They play Tuesday at 5:30 against Thurman Francis.
Are you a Junior or Senior wanting extra help with your Math for the October ACT? Ms. Smithson will be offering tutoring after school in Sept and October for you to take practice tests and get help with your results. Please fill out the form on her ACT class website to look at available dates and times. The first week will be the week of Sept 23-27th. See flyers or you may see her for more information.
