Are you a Junior or Senior wanting extra help with your Math for the October ACT? Ms. Smithson will be offering tutoring after school in Sept and October for you to take practice tests and get help with your results. Please fill out the form on her ACT class website to look at available dates and times. The first week will be the week of Sept 23-27th. See flyers or you may see her for more information.
Parnassus Books will be visiting with Peggy the book truck for the Pig Out next Friday. If you would like to guarantee the pick up of a specific book or books, you can pre-order books until Monday, September 30th at parnassusbooks.net/centralmagnet

Attention high school students! If you are interested in buying a letter jacket, Balfour will be here on Thursday, 9/26 during club time for you to try on jackets and place orders. The first National Technical Honor Society meeting is this Wednesday at 7:30 am in the auditorium. This meeting is for current members and Juniors and Seniors who are interested in joining. Membership requirements are on the NTHS club website.

Students: As a reminder, FCA and First Priority will be organizing "See You At the Pole" this Wednesday (tomorrow) at 7:15 AM. We will meet at the flagpole in front of the school for a time of prayer and devotional. You do not have to be a member of one of these clubs to come out; everyone is welcome!
College Corner will host a great line up this week with Duke, Tennessee Tech, UT Knoxville, University of Memphis, and Miami University all in attendance. Make sure to stop by during C/D lunch.

Middle School students interested in auditioning for Elf Jr. next week - Oct. 1st - Be sure to sign up for an audition slot, and pick up an audition packet - located outside of Miss Andersen's room.
The high school girl's Soccer team moved to 8-1-2 on the season with an 8-0 win over CSAS. Jenny Peters led the way with a Hat trick. Also adding to the score sheet were Ashleigh Clark, Hope Clark, Meghan Delaney, and Zoe London. Brooke Dugan, Ella Chesney, Leah Cutright, and Megan Delaney all had assists.

The girls will play Lawrence Co. in a district match up Tuesday evening at 6 pm. The match will take place at Richard Siegel Park on field 10.
Anyone interested in trying out for the tennis team this season - there will be an "interest meeting" on Tuesday Oct. 1st at 6:30pm in the Senior Cafeteria.
The middle school cross-country team competed at the Milton Invitational last Saturday. The boys varsity team took second place out in a field of 10 teams. The girls team had only four runners and did not receive a team score. The boys junior varsity squad took first place. Top finishers were Vinny Peck, Elijah Fearns, Carson Wood, Jaden Yoder, Emmaline Whitt, and Lila Beth Strickland. All runners will race again this Saturday to determine whether the teams will attend the State Championships.
HS volleyball competed this past weekend at the WillCo tournament in Franklin. They won the bronze bracket by winning four out of seven games. They play tonight at Giles County.
