1. The book fair starts today. We will be open every day from 7:30 A.M. until 3:30 P.M. and late Tuesday night until 6:00 P.M. Families are invited to shop with you any day after school. Remember, you can still set up an e-wallet online. Ask the librarians if you'd like more information about e-wallet. 2. The library will be closed today during A and B lunches for an author visit with our book clubs. We will re-open C and D lunches. 3. We are excited to welcome Andrew Maraniss to Central Magnet on Tuesday afternoon at 3:15 to discuss his upcoming book, Games of Deception. Games of Deception is the true story of the first U.S. Olympic basketball team, which competed at the 1936 Summer Games in Nazi Germany. The blood drive will be Wednesday, October 30 from 730 to 1 you can go to CMS homepage or a HOSA page and click the link to sign up if you are 16 years of age you need a parent permission form and you can see Miss Gates for that or go to the Red Cross website. |

Tryouts for the HS Tennis Teams are Tuesday Oct. 22, and Wed. Oct. 23 from 4:30 - 6:30pm at the Adams Tennis Complex on the outdoor courts. Students who did not play last year, will try out on Tuesday, returning team members will tryout Wednesday. Bring a racket, water, and appropriate court shoes. All Students trying out must have a current physical prior to tryout dates. If you have any questions, or would like more information, please see Miss Andersen in room 344. |
Middle and High School Softball will be hosting a middle school dance next Friday evening. The Glow Dance take place from 6-8 in the cafeteria. Pizza and other snacks and refreshments will be sold. Tickets will be on presale next week in the cafeteria. |
The 2nd Annual Central Magnet Baseball Bowling Scramble will be Saturday, November 9. There will be a table set up this Friday, near the cafeteria, to sign up your team and place an order for an event t-shirt. The cost for each person to bowl for two hours is $25. Put a team of 6 together , bring your $25, and get signed up! Don’t forget there will be prizes for best team name and best team shirts. |
