MTSU Holocaust Studies Program is having an event, Monday, October 30th at the James Union Building/Tennessee Room. The time of the program is 2:30pm to 3:45pm. For more information, contact [email protected].
The book fair will be closing this Friday at 12:00 and the library will remain closed for the remainder of the day to break down the book fair. The librarians would like to thank the English Department for supporting the library by bringing their classes to enjoy the fair this week.
Attention members of the National Spanish Honor Society - The Induction Ceremony for new members will take place Wedneday, Nov 6th at 6pm. Formal Invitations will be coming soon, but please go ahead and place on your calendar. Gracias!
CMS HOSA Week is next week and we have approved dress up days! Monday - Medical Monday (scrubs/lab coat), Tuesday - crazy sock day (Sock it to Pediatric Cancer), Wednesday Wear RED for Blood Donor awareness & it's our Blood Drive Vampire themed, Thursday will be Halloween dress up (school dress code applies, no masks, weapons), Friday is HOSA Day wear Navy/Maroon or an old HOSA shirt!
The blood drive will be Wednesday, October 30 from 730 to 1 you can go to CMS homepage or a HOSA page and click the link to sign up if you are 16 years of age you need a parent permission form and you can see Miss Gates for that or go to the Red Cross website.
Reminder: If you are going to take an AP test you must pay for the test before Oct 31. Please bring registration form and payment to the attendance office.
Middle and High School Softball will be hosting a middle school dance TONIGHT. The Glow Dance will take place from 6-8 in the cafeteria. Pizza and other snacks and refreshments will be sold. We will have games with prizes! Sodas, candy, baked goods and glow in the dark merchandise for sale. Costumes are welcome but remember no masks. Tickets are sold during lunch time for $5, and $7 at the door.
The Central Magnet Women's soccer fell in Overtime to #1 ranked Nolensville HS in the Region Championship last night. In one of the strongest performances of the season our ladies battled from start to finish. Ella Chesney had the goal on the evening. Avery Pogue had 5 saves in goal. The team will move on to the Sectional match on Saturday against White House Heritage at 7pm. If delayed the match will be played Sunday afternoon.
The 2nd Annual Central Magnet Baseball Bowling Scramble will be Saturday, November 9. There will be a table set up this Friday, near the cafeteria, to sign up your team and place an order for an event t-shirt. The cost for each person to bowl for two hours is $25. Put a team of 6 together , bring your $25, and get signed up! Don’t forget there will be prizes for best team name and best team shirts.
Boys and girls bowling team picked up district wins against Oakland yesterday. Bella Goodnight bowled her career high of a 154. Carrie Waugh won all three of her points while Georgia Touchton and Sydnie Dawson won 2. For the boys Bennett Neu had a match high of a 257. Trent Skinner came off the bench to lead the boys in the 3rd and decisive game bowling his career high of 195. Cameron Yates and Nathaniel Carter chipped in two points apiece. The next game for both teams is Tuesday at Lanes Trains and Automobiles at 4.
