Middle school students, next week is Geography Awareness Week, and you can participate by taking the National Geographic GeoBee Qualifying Quiz. The quiz will be online and you can take it during your 5th period study hall next Wednesday on your own device or on a student laptop. Go to the Coach Burns' website for more info. He'll even email you a study packet at your request.
The Central Magnet Math Team competed in the Interscholastic Math League competition at Pope John Paul 2 High School last night. The Integrated math 1 and 2 math bowl team beat BGA and will advanced to the next round. The Calculus math team won 2nd place as a team and Robert Deaton had the top score on the Calculus test overall. Great job to the math team!

In honor of Veterans who have served this country; students will be selling flags which will be placed in front of the school. The sale will be in the cafeteria during all lunches this week through next Monday which is Veterans Day. Your $1.00 donation will go to the Wounded Warrior Foundation
Anyone who is interested in playing middle school boys' soccer needs to attend an interest meeting on Tuesday November 19th at 6:00 p.m. in the Senior Cafeteria.
Both the boys and girls bowling teams lost to Stewarts Creek yesterday. Bennett Neu led the boys with a season high 611 series while Carrie Waugh led the girls with a 570 series. Next match for both teams is Tuesday November 12th at Lanes Trains and Automobiles.
Please congratulate your high school girl's Soccer team on a historic season. It unfortunately came to an end last night in a 2-0 loss to Greeneville. Avery Pogue had a match to remember, coming up with ten saves including one penalty kick. They finish the season 17-3-3. This year's awards included being the District champions, Region Runner ups, State Seminfinalists, and Smoky Mtn. Cup Champions.
