The Foreign Language Department would like to congratulate Caroline Petersen, Mike Mung, and Price Estes for winning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place on the Tennessee Foreign Language Teaching Association art and essay contest. Caroline Petersen won 1st place for her language inspired art work, Mike Mung wrote a song, and Price Estes wrote an essay talking about the importance of learning a second language. The Middle School Swim Team had a great meet this weekend at LaVergne High School against Rutherford County schools and Nashville schools. Congratulations to the following swimmers that got first place in at least one of their events: Ben Bryant, Matthew Moore, John Drugmand, Noah Koenig, Evie Riley, Kim Bao Nguyen, and Taylor Kline. Congratulations to the following swimmers that qualified for Regionals in a new event: Kim Bao Nguyen, Peyton Roeder, Ben Bryant, Noah Koenig, Matthew Moore, John Drugmand, and Sophia Stringfield.
The High School Swim Team had a great meet on Friday at LaVergne High School swimming against LaVergne and Rockvale. Congratulations to the following swimmers that placed first in at least one of their events: Anna Weis, Kailey Orr, Caden Sweetman, Elise Jones, Ben Roth, Lilly Ann Brown, Cameron Walker, Roman Pate, and Parker Dawes. Congratulations to the following swimmers that qualified for Regionals in at least one of their events: George Harris, Cameron Walker, Taylor Walker, Parker Dawes, Roman Pate, Isabelle Hamby, and Lilly Ann Brown. Congratulations to the following swimmers that qualified for state in at least one of their events: Anna Weis, Kailey Orr, Caden Sweetman, and Elise Jones. The High School team will be swimming against Siegel and Spring Hill on Saturday at Riverdale High School! Go Tigers!
Congratulations to our MS team for taking 1st place in the Tiger Games Tournament this past weekend. The HS team placed 4th, just 12 points below 3rd place. Individually, CMS had 6 archers finish in the top 5. In the MS Female division, Mikayla Harris placed 4th and Maggie Moore placed 3rd. In the MS Male division, Jacob Gardner placed 5th and Jaden Po’e placed 3rd. In the HS divisions, Kendall Sprague was the 5th place female and Nathan Blunkall was the 3rd place male.
