"The National Honor Society is aiding the Salvation Army with the Angel Tree Program again this holiday season. Through this program, groups can sponsor a child from a financially needy family to purchase clothing and toys for them. If you are interested in sponsoring an angel as a club, team, or class, please see Mr. Windham to sign up."
Middle School students participated in the CMS NatGeoBee Wednesday, and you can see the list of qualifiers on Coach Burns' GeoBee webpage. Please check out the list and congratulate the students who made it to the preliminary round to be held on December 5. If you are on the list, be sure to look for an email from Coach Burns sent to your school account for information about the bee, and congratulations!
Students taking the Seal of Biliteracy exam on Monday must report to the downstairs computer lab at 8:00 am. Students will be divided into rooms 134 and 128 and there will be a list of names at the door with your room assignment. The exam will begin promptly after announcements. Please, be on time.
Student Art League will meet after school today from 3:00 to 4:30 to tie-dye our club t-shirts. If you did not order a club shirt you can bring your own shirt to tie-dye.
Governor's school applications are due to the Counselors by Friday Nov 15th.
Anyone who is interested in playing middle school boys' soccer needs to attend an interest meeting on Tuesday November 19th at 6:00 p.m. in Ms. Davis's room, 219.
Attention High School Students Interested in Track:

Please complete the google form found on the high school track team website if you would like to be on the track team. This is for sprinters, field events folks, AND distance runners. You must complete this form to be eligible for the team. Get this done before Thanksgiving break. See Coach Nichols if you have any questions.
If you are interested in trying out for the high school men's soccer team, plan to attend an interest meeting next Tuesday at 6:15 in the drama room. There is also a google form on the men's soccer website to fill out for anyone interested in participating.
Congratulations to the middle school boys basketball team on their win over Stewart’s Creek. The tigers won by a score of 41 to 36. Mason Brown lead all scores with 13 and Carson Wood had 11.
The boys and girls bowling team defeated Rockvale yesterday. Matthew Flesichman led the boys with a 562 series, his career high, winning all three of his points. Will Starling also won all three of his points while Cameron Yates won 2.
For the girls Carrie Waugh had a team high of 168, Liezel Laurel bowled a 158 and several girls picked up points including Amanda Ramsey, Jill Patel, Bella Goodnight, Georgia Touchton, and Helen Grace Daniel.
Both teams play again Tuesday in Smyrna.
