High School Students: Mid Term permission forms were sent home in 2nd period on Thursday, Dec 5th. These forms are due Wednesday, Dec. 11th. These forms are required if you want to leave after taking midterms. WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING PHONE CALLS, TEXTS, OR EMAILS THE WEEK OF MIDTERMS.
The Seal of Biliteracy exam scheduled to take place, tomorrow, Saturday the 14th, was rescheduled to January, 11th. If you are planning on taking that exam, but haven't paid the $20 fee, you must see Mrs. DaSilva no later than this Monday.
Caleb Dochow's family is asking for help with a fundraiser to help bring their adoptive son home from China & are collecting pairs of shoes. You can donate any shoe type, gently used or new. Collection boxes are by Mrs. Gates door in the annex, front entrance lobby & college corner (they are wrapped in purple paper!) We need these by 12-13-19
HOSA Service opportunities: 1. NHC & Alive Hospice Christmas shoebox project...fill a shoebox (or other container) with basic essentials like lotion, kleenex, mints, gum, candies, hair brush, gloves, etc. due 12-13 to Mrs. Gates
2. Alive Hospice patient Christmas tree- Dollar tree christmas tree decorated with ornaments, Christmas decorations, lights...due to Mrs. Gates 12-13.
Please remember that as a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, you must complete a points worksheet each semester. Completed points sheets are due to Ms. Way-Kiani by this Friday, December 13th.
The lineup and details for the Homecoming Variety show have been posted on the Student Council website. Remember that if you are using a track in your performance, you must email your track to Mr. Click by Tuesday, December 17th. We will not be using phones to play music from this year.
Registration for Rutherford County Online classes beginning in January is open until Dec 16. See your counselor with any questions.
The game that was rescheduled for Monday night has now been rescheduled again. The new date is Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Central Magnet. Tipoff time is 6:00 PM.

All representatives need to see Mr. Nichols today for some important information about Homecoming.
Central Magnet Chess hosted the Middle Tennessee Scholastic Chess Championship on Saturday, December 7.

CMS Teams won 1st place in both High School and Elementary divisions.

High School Team was led by Parker Dawes, winning 4 games and taking home 2nd place trophy! Johnathan Warner won 7th place trophy and Rob Nicholls 9th. Jackson Faulk and Talan Lynch earned medals for finishing in top 20.

Sophie Tan won 4th place trophy leading CMS Team in Elementary division. Winning top 20 medals were first time tournament players Amare Bellamy, Grayson Lin, Hunter Higgs, Harrison Hamby and Austin Schaffrath.

In the Unrated Upper School division Isabelle Jones finished 1st! Jackob Abrahamson was 3rd. Also playing well in their first competition were Austin Webb and Mitchell McCook.

Joshua Stueckle and Micah Warren represented well in the Open section.
Congratulations to the middle school boys basketball team for their win in triple overtime. The boys beat lavergne 64 to 58. Mason brown lead all scorers with 36 points will Becker had 12 and Jake Maddox added 7.
