Central Magnet will take a middle and a high school group to this year's SE-YA Book Festival on Friday, March 13. Sign ups begin today and end Friday at 3 PM. High school students should sign up in the library. Middle school students should sign up with your ELA Lab teacher. Ask a librarian or your English teacher if you have any questions.
Don't forget Mu Alpha Theta offers tutoring on Wednesdays from 3-4pm. They can help with the math portion of the ACT or any problems you are having in math class.

The Student Art League is hosting a Fan Art Friday night THIS Friday after school from 3 to 5:30 in the art room. We'll be watching Howl's Moving Castle and making fanart together. Bring a snack to share and an idea for a fanart that you would like to make. Any high schooler who wants to make art is welcome to come and join in the fun.
The last day to add or drop a class will be Friday, Jan. 17. You must stop by Guidance to pick up a form to complete. See your counselor for questions.
Registration for AP Macro and AP Gov't semester 2 students is Jan 13-Feb 14.  Students currently enrolled in Mr. Brooks' or Mr Walker's classes can pay for the test in attendance. 

Any middle school student interested in running track this year needs to meet in the cafeteria TODAY during advisory.
Central Magnet had 3 players reach double figures as the Lady Tigers defeated Forrest 49-40 in the district opener. Kaitlin Polly led the way with 17 and Addison Melton and Olivia Hart added 12 each.

Ben Roth, Douglas Thibodeaux, Parker Dawes, David Moreno, Isabelle Hamby, Elizabeth Nelms, Eli Callender, Cameron Walker, Roman Pate, Nick Gobich, Erin Chippeaux, Lilly Ann Brown, Jake Harris, George Harris, and Taylor Walker.
The Central Magnet Tigers improved to 1-0 in Distirct play last night with a 51-35 win over the Forrest Rockets.
The Tigers were led by Jayden Hernandez with 16 points and Micah Harris with 11 points.
The Tigers will play next on Friday when they travel to Nolensville.
