If you love to sing, consider joining one of the CMS Choirs next year! Women's Chorale and Varsity Choir are open to High School students, and the Middle School choir is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders. If you have previous choir experience, a good ear, and sight-reading ability, we invite you to audition for Madrigals. Auditions are this Thursday, February 6 after school. Please sign up for an audition time outside the Choir Room door (Room 339 in the Annex). See Dr. Saxon if you have questions.
Attention all key club members: Registrations for district conference in Lexington, Kentucky are due this Thursday, February 6th. We will have 1 last meeting on Monday, Feb. 3rd. This is your last chance to get all the information and paperwork required to register. If you want to participate in this conference you must show up for the meeting. We will be in room 134 at 3:10 pm. I hope to see all of you there!

The CMS Aviation Club will be taking a field trip to a number of MTSU's facilities including the air traffic control simulator, airframe maintenance area , pilot training classrooms, drone lab, and more. This trip will take place on Feb 13 and costs $15 per
club member. If you would like to attend, please see me or Mr. Leach for a field trip form as soon as possible. The deadline is Friday, Feb 7.
Young Life club is back and we are having Pizza Olympics on Monday, February 3rd at 7:57. We will meet at Webb and Drake Dodson's house. 802 Greenbriar Dr. Everyone is invited.
Juniors will begin scheduling classes for their senior year today with their counselor. Please come to Guidance at your appointment time and do not wait to be called out of class. Bring your completed course list with you.
CMS will be a site for the Feb. 8 ACT. Students will NOT be admitted without a photo ID. If you do not have a photo ID see your counselor this week for an ID form. Middle school students who are testing through Duke TIP will need the two forms sent in the mail and will check in at the end doors at by the high school drop off area.
Registration for RC online courses for quarter 4 will be Feb 3-26. See the Rutherford Co schools' website for details.
The Middle School Swim Team competed at the Rutherford County Middle School Championship this past Saturday. There were many 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places that resulted in the girls placing 2nd, the boys placing 3rd, and the team placing third overall. Congratulations to the following swimmers:
- Ben Bryant for placing first in the 100 Free and 100 Backstroke while also breaking the meet records for both of those events.
- Kim Bao for placing first in the 200 IM and 100 Fly.
- John Drugmand for placing first in the 200 IM and 100 Fly.
- Evelyn Riley for placing first in the 50 Free and 100 Free.
- Wyatt Kelton for placing first in the 200 Free and second in the 400 Free.
- Jackie Dummermuth for placing second in the 100 Breastroke.
- Kaitlyn Elliott for placing third in the 200 Free.
- Ben Bryant, Wyatt Kelton, John Drugmand, and Noah Koenig for placing first in the 200 Medley Relay.
- John Drugmand, Matthew Moore, Wyatt Kelton, and Ben Bryant for placing first in the 400 Free Relay and breaking the meet record.
- Peyton Roeder, Jackie Dummermuth, Kim Bao, and Sophia Stringfield for placing second in the 200 Medley Relay.
- Evelyn Riley, Clara Johnson, Sophia Stringfield, and Taylor Kline for placing second in the 200 Free Relay.
- Evelyn Riley, Kaitlyn Elliott, Jackie Dummermuth, and Kim Bao for placing second in the 400 Free Relay.
If you see any middle school swimmers, tell them congrats for a great end to a great season!
The Central Magnet Tigers picked up their 2nd district win of the year with a 70-41 victory over the Forrest Rockets on Friday night.
The Tigers were led by Jayden Hernandez and Kyle Messerly with 13 points each and Jack Smith added 10 points.
The Tigers hit 9 3 point shots and went 19/22 from the free throw line.
The Tigers will return to action on tomorrow night when they host Nolensville. Tuesday nights game is also Senior night.
