Congratulations to Zach Ouellette, Tasman Takayama, and Ethan Sprague. These young men are part of a hockey team that represents our area. This weekend they played a fierce team and all goals scored were scored by Central Magnet players. Their team is currently in 2nd place and will be playing #1 MBA Wednesday at 8:30 at Bridgestone Arena. We want to wish these men the best of luck! |
The middle school Science Olympiad team competed at the regional tournament at MTSU on Saturday. Although competition was fierce, our team of 15 students placed in many of the events. Rachel Swicord, Sofia Lopez, Zack Martin, Sami Warren, and Connor Smith took home 1st place medals in multiple events and Ella Edge and Raegan Hutchins took home second place medals. Congratulations for a job well done! |

CMS Chess Team participated in the Ron Seaney Memorial Chess Tournament held on Saturday at Percy Priest Elementary School in Nashville and placed 2nd in both 5-6th and 7-12th grade sections. Individually, in the 5-6th grade section, Jackob Abrahamson won Top Unrated trophy and Luke Weill won 2nd place Unrated trophy, just edging teammate Benjamin Xiao, who settled for a placement medal. Amare Bellamy and Austin Schaffrath also contributed to the team's totals. In the 7-12th grade section, Parker Dawes took home 6th place trophy. Johnathan Warner (12th place), Wyatt Kelton (15th) and Jackson Faulk won placement medals. |
