Student Council is having elections for Freshmen Class Officers, Class Representative for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, and Senior Class Secretary. The information and application can be found on the Student Council website. Applications are due no later than Wednesday, September 2nd at 3:00 pm.
Youth In Govt will be having an information meeting about the 2020 Model UN conference in the auditorium, Tuesday Sept 1 at 3:15 pm. We will be done by 3:45. For more information see Mr. Brooks, Mrs Miller or Jake Harris.
MS Student Council will be holding elections on Friday, September 18th. If you are interested in running, go to the MS Student Council page to learn more. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Miller, room 218.
Any 8th-12th grader interested in being on the 2020-2021 bowling team will need to be at tryouts Wednesday, September 2nd at Lanes,Trains and Automobiles. Tryouts will be from 3:45-5:15, you must wear a mask and socially distance. In order to participate your DragonFly max must 100% complete but if you are not finished please come and get all the information that will be given out that day.
The middle school cross-country teams opened their season Saturday in McMinnville at the Pioneer Invitational. Both boys and girls teams earned the best score in their races. The boys were lead by Ty Brown and Jaden Yoder. In the girls race, Lila Beth Strickland and Catherine Zubkus took top honors. The Tigers race again on September 9 at Rockvale.
Congrats to the HS Cross Country team for a strong showing at the Sanders Ferry Showdown this past weekend. The varsity girls finished third, varsity boys were eighth, JV girls were third, and JV boys finished fifth. In all, nine Tiger striders earned personal records on this tough course. Your Tigers were paced by junior Blake Yuenger, who ran the 5k in a time of 17:13. Junior Samantha Ouellette led the Lady Tigers with a time of 18:51, finishing second overall. Your HS Cross Country teams return to action on Saturday, September 12th in Cookeville for the Cavalier Invitational.
The middle school volleyball team picked up their 3rd consecutive win last night. Winning in straight sets 25-6; 25-10 over Rocky Fork. The JV also won, led by Riley Osborneā€™s 20 aces. The lady tigers travel to Lavergne Thursday night.
The HS Volleyball Team took home top honors by defeating Summertown in the Championship match at the Lawrence County Tournament this past weekend. Tonight they play Nolensville at home. JV plays at 5 and Varsity at 6. Come out and support your HS Volleyball Team.
Parking Passes are on sale in the Attendance office for all drivers. Passes cost $5 and we will need to know the license plate number.
