The Central Magnet Writing Lab is open to every student in every grade whether you are a distance learner or in person. Through the lab, you can get help from peer tutors on any of your writing. Appointments are available during fifth period, but due to Covid-19 precautions, they will take place over Zoom. Culinary Enthusiasts is a club for food-lovers who want to learn about dishes from around the world and to develop their culinary skills.  Join us Saturday, September 12th at 5 pm for a virtual meeting from the comfort of your own kitchen to kick off this year. HOSA is starting back up again this year!  The deadline for signing up to become an active member for the 2020-2021 school year is September 25th.  Links for membership and competition sign-ups are on Mrs. Harrison's web page.  Payment is $15 (checks payable to CMS HOSA).  ALL in person learners, please send your money to Harrison. Distance learners, please mail your money to the school (701 E. Main St. Murfreesboro, TN 37130).  We plan on having monthly team’s meetings as we become more comfortable with this year’s CTE club plans. Don’t forget, attending a meeting gives you 1 point!

MS Cheer is selling tickets to watch the Rocket League on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 pm in the Central auditorium. Tickets are $4 apiece. See the MS Cheer website for signups OR Mrs. Miller in room 218.  

Any girl interested in trying out for middle school softball needs to see Coach Stanley during 8th period this week.  

The Central Magnet HS Soccer Team moved to 6-0-1 on the season with a district win over Spring Hill last night.  The team is now 4-0 in district play.  Ashleigh Clark and Megan Delaney put on man of the match performances.  Ashleigh had two goals and Megan had a goal and two assists.  Ella Chesney, Reily Gusman, and Jill Londre rounded out the scoring.  Julia Ann Hamilton also had an assist.  The team will continue district play at home against Marshall County on Thursday. 

Middle School Tennis won their 4th match against Oakland last night, with a fantastic match and tiebreaker win from Ty Brown. The girls have swept all their matches this season, and the boys are also 4 and 0. Congratulations to all the team. 

The Lady Tiger Middle School Soccer team defeated Oakland yesterday with a score of 1-0. Sophia Stringfield had six saves in the victory and Sofia Kime scored the game-winning goal assisted by Nicole Bryson. The next game is this Thursday at Smyrna.  

The middle school volleyball team picked up a win against Whitworth Buchanon last night winning in straight sets 25-9 and 25-17. Becca Jerkins led the team in assists and contributed 13 aces. The lady Tigers will host Rockvale on Thursday night for a JV and varsity doubleheader starting at 4:30.
