National English Honor Society is now accepting applications from juniors and seniors. You can find the application on Mrs. Esberger or Mrs. Morris's websites. Please submit before Fall Break.
High School Students! We want to cover the hallways in school spirit! Since we cannot be in the gym for the pep rally, are going to hang the pep rally signs in the hallway above the lockers. The freshmen signs will hang upstairs, the sophomore signs will hang from Mrs. Smithson's Room to Ms. Page's room, the junior signs will be near Mrs. Pigg's and Ms. Benjamin's rooms, and the senior signs will be down near Mr. Brooks and Mr. Walker. Students will make the signs at home and submit them to Mr. Nichols, Ms. Benjamin, or Dr. Hines. Please submit your signs by Tuesday, September 29th. Let's color the walls with spirit!
If you would like to be a Mu Alpha Theta member, you must fill out the application on the website and pay your dues to Mrs. Pigg by 10/1. Seniors if you want to order a cord, you need to pay for the cord with your membership fee. Again, Mu Alpha Theta application and fee payment including cord for seniors is due by 10/1 which is next Thursday.
The Central Magnet School trap team will begin practice this Sunday at Big Springs Clay Targets. Please see the trap team page on the school website or see Dr. Nabors in Room 225 if you would like to join the team.

Sophomores and Juniors! We have had a great tradition of student produced news, and we are now looking to replace The Central Pipeline.
This is a bi-weekly spot for student announcements that is 4-minutes length.
Current Sophomores and/or Juniors are eligible to apply. A crew of 2 to 4 is ideal.
To be considered, send a YouTube link to [email protected] with a 2-minute pitch of the style of show you are proposing. TNT leadership and The Central Pipeline crew will review submission and select the next student program.
Submissions are due by Tuesday, October 13th.

The middle school cross-country team has big news! The boys' and girls' teams are both going to the state championships.
Yesterday afternoon in Hendersonville, the girls team collected the runner-up team trophy while the boys team took the Sectional title. Henry Nance was the individual boys champion, fighting off strong competition from Charlotte Middle School. Jaden Yoder and Ty Brown finished in the top 10. On the girls' side, Lila Beth Strickland and Catherine Zubkus took top-10 spots while Briley Walker finished closely in 13th place.
All runners are very excited to have earned a spot to compete on October 3 in Clarksville for the state title.
High School Students: If you are going to get your Driver's License permit over Fall Break, you need to come by the Attendance office to pick up your attendance form, SF 1010, before you go.
