Congratulations to the high school cross country teams for stellar performances in the Region 4 Large Schools meet on Tuesday at Siegel Soccer Complex. Your varsity boys' and girls' teams both finished as runners-up, qualifying both teams for state. Junior Samantha Ouellette led the varsity ladies by capturing the region championship in a time of 18:39. Junior Blake Yuenger paced the varsity boys with a time of 16:57, finishing as the individual region runner-up. In addition, your JV Tiger squads also had strong performances. JV girls won the team championship while the JV boys finished second. Sophomore Ella Anderson won the individual region JV championship and sophomore Ben Clemence led the JV boys, finishing third overall. Your varsity Tigers will compete for a state title on Thursday of next week in Hendersonville. This year marks the tenth consecutive season your boys' cross-country team has advanced to the state level while it marks the ninth straight year the girls have done so. Be sure to wish them all luck!
