Current sophomores and juniors may apply to be a tutor in the writing lab for the 2021-2022 school year between now and February 12th. You can pick up an application from Mrs. Esberger or print one off of her website.The application includes both the teacher recommendation and student letter of interest. 
MS Student Council is collecting gently used coats for the local homeless shelter. If you would like to donate you can bring them to Mrs. Miller's room, #218. We will be collecting through next Friday, January 22nd.

The National Technical Honor Society is hosting a virtual series of speakers this semester to highlight careers and special topics for the CTE areas of study at Central. Our first speaker session will be on Monday, January 25th at 2:00 pm (during 8th period) with Dr. Apigian from MTSU. Dr. Apigian will be speaking about data science, a field of computer science. The Zoom link will be available on the NTHS website on Monday, January 25th.
Thursday the 21st at 2:10(club time after advisory) HOSA will have a meeting through the CMS HOSA Teams site. Members should plan to attend this meeting virtually!
 
Olivia Hart scored a game-high 20 and Kaitlin Polly added 13 to lead the Lady Tigers to a 55-45 win over Giles County. The victory improves the Lady Tigers to 8-3 overall, 2-1 in District 12-AA.
The Central Magnet Men's Basketball team improved to 9-6 on the season and 3-0 in District 12AA with a 81-67 victory last night over the Giles County Bobcats. The Tigers were led in scoring by Elijah Conard with 24, Kyle Messerly with 21, and Jayden Hernandez with 19. The Tigers made 10 3 pointers on their way to the win. The Tigers will be in action on Friday when they travel to take on the Marshall County Tigers.
