Current sophomores and juniors may apply to be a tutor in the writing lab for the 2021-2022 school year between now and February 12th. You can pick up an application from Mrs. Esberger or print one off of her website.The application includes both the teacher recommendation and student letter of interest. 
MS Student Council is collecting gently used coats for the local homeless shelter. If you would like to donate you can bring them to Mrs. Miller's room, #218. We will be collecting through next Friday, January 22nd.
The National Technical Honor Society is hosting a virtual series of speakers this semester to highlight careers and special topics for the CTE areas of study at Central. Our first speaker session will be on Monday, January 25th at 2:00 pm (during 8th period) with Dr. Apigian from MTSU. Dr. Apigian will be speaking about data science, a field of computer science. The Zoom link will be available on the NTHS website on Monday, January 25th.
Tuesday, February 23rd the Red Cross Mobile Unit will be on campus outside the Annex entrance for blood donations from 7:30am to 1:00pm. Please go to the main webpage or Mrs. Harrison's webpage or the CMS HOSA webpage to sign-up for this event! For planning purposes we should be on our EVEN day schedule. Please eat a hearty breakfast and hydrate well in order to give blood! Our community is in need and your donation could save 3 lives here in Rutherford County!!

Attention Key Club Members: your mandatory club fee of $35 are due Friday, January 29th. Please give dues to Ms. Mayette-Rowe or your treasurer Grace Beane. There will also be a mandatory hybrid meeting for those who signed up for committees on Monday, January 25th at 3:15pm.

Next week is Homecoming! Show your Central spirit and participate in the following dress up days. Monday : Camo, Tuesday: Summer, Wednesday: Twin, Thursday: Frat, and Friday: Black and Gold / Class Colors. These days are for both Middle and High School. Everyone, in-person and distance learners, can participate by sharing your pictures via Twitter and the hashtag #CMSShowYourStripes or the Padlet that will be posted on the Student Council website.
