The dress up days for HS and MS are as follows: Monday- Camo Day, Tuesday- Summer Day (MS) or Tacky Tourist (HS); Wednesday- Twin Day; Thursday- Frat Day; Friday- Black and Gold (MS), Class Colors (HS).
Reminder SPANISH Students! Ms. Pinson needs to know by THURSDAY, Jan 28th if you plan on taking the National Spanish Exam. There will be no late sign ups! Please email her your name, level of Spanish, teacher, and grade level by then. Thanks!!
If you are interested in participating in Youth In Government this Spring, you can register through January 29th. The conference will be February 25-28th with all sessions being held virtually. Invitations for National Honor Society were e-mailed to eligible students last week. Juniors and Seniors interested in applying for NHS should fill out the linked form by Friday of this week.
Homecoming attendants, please come to the auditorium at 2:15 (after advisory) to practice the walk through for ceremony. You will also receive your tickets at this meeting.
The American Legion Girls State is a citizenship program offered to Junior girls. It is one of the most highly regarded programs in the nation. Any Junior girl who is interested in attending Girls State this year, needs to see Mrs. Gerhart in Guidance. A resume and essay will need to be complete by February 22nd. Congratulations to the girls' middle school basketball team on a huge team win this past Monday night versus E.A. Cox in the first round of the TMSAA Southern Area AA tournament! The team won 41-19. Bethany Jackson led the team in scoring with 18 points including 5 three's. Claire Shumake added 12 points, and Reese Martin had 5 points. It was a great team effort. The team plays again in the semi-finals on Thursday night at Summertown. Good luck!
Kathryn Hays knocked down 2 HUGE 3s late and scored a team-high 19 points to lead the Lady Tigers to a 52-48 road win over Community. Olivia Hart added 15 and Addison Melton added 12. The win moves the Lady Tigers to 9-4 overall/3-2 in District 12-AA.
The archery teams competed in the Winter Shootout this past weekend, please congratulate Anna Seay and Jayden Po’e for placing first in the MS Female and Male divisions and to Mikayla Harris and Maggie Moore for placing 2nd and 5th, respectively, in the HS Female division.
