If you are interested in participating in Youth In Government this Spring, you can register through January 29th. The conference will be February 25-28th with all sessions being held virtually. Key Club members, don't forget your mandatory club dues of $35 are due this Friday, January 29th.
Invitations for National Honor Society were e-mailed to eligible students last week. Juniors and Seniors interested in applying for NHS should fill out the linked form by Friday of this week.
The American Legion Girls State is a citizenship program offered to Junior girls. It is one of the most highly regarded programs in the nation. Any Junior girl who is interested in attending Girls State this year, needs to see Mrs. Gerhart in Guidance. A resume and essay will need to be complete by February 22nd. Tuesday, February 23rd the Red Cross Mobile Unit will be on campus outside the Annex entrance for blood donations from 7:30am to 1:00pm. Please go to the main webpage or Mrs. Harrison's webpage or the CMS HOSA webpage to sign-up for this event! For planning purposes we should be on our EVEN day schedule. Please eat a hearty breakfast and hydrate well in order to give blood! Our community is in need and your donation could save 3 lives here in Rutherford County!!
The Math Team competed in the IML math contest on Wednesday. The Precalculus Team: Ben Chen, Hannah Cox, Yao Xiao, Sally Gaither, Beau Eerebout, and Elizabeth Woods tied with MBA for 3rd place. The Statistics Team: Sydney Taylor and Sophia Crips tied with Ensworth for 4th place. The Calculus Team: Robert Deaton, Ashleigh Clark, Douglas Thibodeaux, Lizbeth Lozano, Sam Chappin, and Blake Yuenger placed 1st. Robert Deaton placed 1st individually and Ashleigh Clark placed 3rd individually.
Middle school softball will stay at Central Monday, February 1st for an expectation meeting instead of practice due to Monday's forecast. Please come to coach Stanley's classroom as soon as you are dismissed. Have your ride pick you up from the middle school drop off area by 4pm.
