The National Spanish Honors Society is having a school-wide canned food drive through March 5th. Bringing 10 cans will get you 1 service hours for members of the club. Bring your cans by Señora Pinson's or Señora Kime’s room and write your name on the sheet next to the boxes when you drop them off. Thank you!
The High School Swim Team had a great first meet on Saturday, the 13th against LaVergne High School. Congratulations to the following swimmers who qualified for Regionals in at least one of their events: Taylor Walker, Lilly Ann Brown, Cameron Walker, Parker Dawes, Jackie Dummermuth, Evan Keegan, Erin Chippeaux, Jean Drugmand, Kailey Orr, and Sarah Gwen Arnold. Congratulations to the following swimmers who qualified for State in at least one of their events: Caden Sweetman and Kailey Orr. Great job Tigers!
The Middle School Swim Team had a great swim meet against Thurman Francis and Page Middle School on Saturday, the 13th. Congratulations to the following swimmers who placed first in at least one of their events: Peyton Roeder, Sophia Stringfield, Kim Bao Nguyen, Evie Riley, Ben Bryant, Elijah Messick, and Taylor Kline. Congratulations to the following swimmers who qualified for Regionals in at least one of their events: Elijah Messick, Sophia Stringfield, Alex Abbott, Uma Sood, Ben Bryant, Marissa Bratsch, Alicia Moreno, Peyton Roeder, Taylor Kline, Evie Riley, and Kim Bao Nguyen. The Middle School team is back tonight against Oakland Middle, Sunset Middle, and Mill Creek Middle. Go Tigers!
The Lady Tigers suffered a tough loss to end the season, losing to Giles County 39-36. The Lady Tigers finish the season at 10-9. The Lady Tigers would like to congratulate our 2 seniors, Kathryn Hays and Anaiyah Smith, on their fantastic careers. They will be missed tremendously.
The JV boys' basketball team finished their successful season on Saturday, February 13th at Upperman High School. Saturday's leading scorers were Mason Brown with 18 points, Alex Perry with 15, Will Becker with 15, and Isaac Smith with 14. The team ended with an outstanding 12-3 record including a nine-game winning streak and remaining undefeated at home. Be sure to congratulate any of the players if you see them in the hallway!
The Central Magnet Tigers advanced to the semi-finals of the 12AA tournament last night with a 74-71 overtime victory of the visiting Giles County Bobcats.
The Tigers were led in scoring by Elijah Conard with 29 points. Jayden Hernandez and Avery Lambert chipped in 9 each and Kyle Messerly and Mason Brown added 8 each.
The Tigers are back in action tonight when the travel to Marshall County at 7:00 pm
