MS Student Council is collecting items for nursing staff working with COVID patients at St. Thomas Rutherford. We are looking for prepacked snacks (peanut butter crackers, cookies, etc.) as well as small packages of lotion, pens and restaurant gift cards to be distributed to the nurses. All donations can be dropped off in Mrs. Miller room (room 218). We will be collecting through Friday, March 26th. Please see Mrs. Miller, Braden Box or Reagan Warren if you have any questions.
This week's dress up days will be as follows:  Wednesday- (HS) Class Colors and (MS)- Black and Gold, Thursday- Movie/TV Day, Friday- Mathlete vs. Athletes Day.
Attention All Students! Get excited for Spirit Day Tomorrow! We will be participating in spirit activities in classes throughout the day. The schedule is Advisory from 8 - 9:30, 1st period from 9:37 - 11:02, 5th period from 11:09 - 1:28, and Advisory from `:35 - 3:00. Distance learners, will log in to your normal Teams/Zoom links for those classes to participate. There will be competitions, games, videos, and we will end the day with the spring pep rally.

There will be a club time during 1st period and directed study time during 5th period, so if you have any assignments due on Thursday or Friday make sure to bring them with you to work on during those times.
Attention all theatre students in classes or otherwise! We are starting a thespian troupe as a part of International Thespian Society for both high school and middle school. It is a great honor and opportunity to hold any rank in these troupes and looks good on future college admissions applications! If you are interested in finding out how you can be a part of a troupe then come to an information meeting after school on Wednesday, March 24th in the auditorium. Support Tiger Tennis at Blue Coast Burrito on Memorial Thursday March 25th from open to close. Tell them you are there for Central Tennis.
The Middle School tiger's baseball improved to 2 and 0 on the year with a 10 to 6 victory over Rockvale middle school. Collin Wind got the start pitching and got the win. The Tigers piled up 14 hits with Roth, Bryant and White gathering 3 hits apiece and Wind and Braden Box chipping in two hits apiece. Tigers play Smyrna Tuesday at Barfield park at 4:30pm
The Middle School Golf Team played Monday night. The girls team consisting of Anna Powell, Lauren Powell, and Julia Stuible took 1st place. The boys team consisting of Henry Nance, Collier Pawlowski and Will Hemmrich took 2nd place. Collier and Henry were 2nd and 3rd overall low scores for the boys ! Lauren and Anna were 1st and 2nd overall low scores for girls! We are looking for one more boy to join the team. Contact Coach Meek if you are interested.
The High School Swim Team had a fantastic showing at the Doris Coady Rutherford County Championship swim meet this past Saturday. Placing second in combined, men, and women, our swimmers truly came to compete. Congratulations to the following swimmers with their top 6 finishes: Taylor Walker, Jackie Dummermuth, Erin Chippeaux, and Kailey Orr for placing second in both the Women's 200 Medley Relay and the 400 Free Relay; Caden Sweetman, Parker Dawes, Jean Drugmand, and Evan Keegan for placing second in both the Men's 200 Medley Relay and 400 Free Relay; Taylor Walker for placing third in the 200 Freestyle and fourth in the 100 Backstroke; Parker Dawes for placing second in both the 200 Freestyle and the 100 Breastroke; Caden Sweetman for placing third in the 50 Freestyle and second in the 100 Backstroke; Erin Chippeaux for placing fifth in the 100 Butterfly; Jean Drugmand for placing third in the 100 Butterfly and second in the 500 Freestyle; Lilly Ann Brown for placing fifth in the 500 Freestyle; Cameron Walker for placing fifth in the 200 IM; Evan Keegan for placing fifth in the 200 IM; Brendan O'Bryan for placing fifth in the 100 Breastroke; and Kailey Orr for placing first in both the 500 Free and 100 Backstroke. Congratulations to Kailey for a new meet record in the 100 Backstroke and also placing first in that event all four years of her high school career! The Middle School Swim Team had an awesome last regular season swim meet this past Saturday. Congratulations to the following swimmers who placed first in at least one of their events: Evie Riley, Kim Bao Nguyen, Elijah Messick, Addison Stagner, Uma Sood, Alex Abbott, Sophia Stringfield, and Taylor Kline. Congratulations to the following swimmers who qualified for Regionals in at least one of their events: Alex Abbott, Kim Bao Nguyen, Peyton Roeder, Fiona McGoffin, Taylor Kline, Elijah Messick, Evie Riley, Sophia Stringfield, Alicia Moreno, Marissa Bratsch, and Uma Sood. The team will be back at it after spring break for the Middle School Rutherford County Championship.
Congratulations to the HS Archery team for placing 3rd and to the MS team for placing 6th in the Warrior Classic this weekend. Individually, Jackson Harris was the 5th place MS male, Emily Taylor was the 5th place MS female, Anna Seay was the 1st place MS female, Tasman Takayama was the 4th place HS male and Kelsey Rainey was the 4th place HS female. Jackson also was the 4th place MS male in the 3D tournament.
