Service Opportunity: The Murfreesboro Community Garden, off of State Street, is a great place to get hours from February through October of each year. We meet each Saturday from 10am - noon and offer a variety of outdoor tasks to help with. Come out to help and get your service hours.
The Middle School Golf Team played Thursday night. The girls team consisting of Anna Powell, Lauren Powell and Emery Mitchell took 1st place. The boys team consisting of Henry Nance, Collier Pawlowski, and Will Hemmrich took 2nd place. Collier and Henry were 3rd and 4th overall low score for the boys. Anna, Emery and Lauren were 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall low score for girls. Anna had the overall low score for boys and girls!
The High School Mens' Soccer Team won 9-1 last night against Lawrence Co. in district play. Will Kassebaum led the way with a hat trick. Jorge Graniel added two goals and an assist. Andre Moriel Scored twice. Julian McMillian Scored once and had an assist. Jordan McGoffin had two assists. And the one and only Nolan Blair scored the final tally on the night. The team travels tonight to take on Marshall Co.
The Middle School Baseball Tigers scored 7 runs in the first inning and went on to defeat Blackman middle school 11 to 6 Thursday afternoon at Siegel HS. Ben Bryant led the Tigers with three walks and two hits. John Roth, Owen White, Joshua Duggin, Thomas Sesler, Matok Delk, and Benson Reavis all chipped in with hits on the day. John Roth got the win from the mound with Jackson McKissick and Matok Delk providing pitching relief for the Tigers. The Tigers are 7 and 2 overall and 5 and 1 in the conference.
The high school softball team dropped to 0 and 3 in the district with a loss to Marshall County last night. Jacey Goetzinger, Emmaline Whitt, and Kaitlin Polly all picked up hits for the Lady Tigers. They return to action tonight as they host Giles county at McKnight Park. Game time is at 5:30. Please come out and support.
