| The Central Magnet Chess Team will begin the year with an open practice and important parent meeting on Monday, August 16th. The open practice will take place in room 131 from 3:15 to 5:15 with the parent meeting beginning at 4:30. |

| The high school girls' soccer team fell 2-1 last night to Siegel High School. Ashleigh Clark scored the goal off a corner kick from JA Hamilton. Preseason continues Thursday against Franklin Co. at 5:30 here at Central. |
