The Central Magnet Chess Team will begin the year with an open practice and important parent meeting on Monday, August 16th. The open practice will take place in room 131 from 3:15 to 5:15 with the parent meeting beginning at 4:30.
Attention current 8th and 12th grade students. We are searching for new mentors for the 2021-2022 school year. 8th grade students will mentor 6th grade students and seniors will mentor 9th grade students. Mentors are in good academic and behavior standing here at Central Magnet. Our mentors are model students. Attention Juniors and Seniors: Rho Kappa, the National Honor Society for Social Studies, is accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year. Eligible members must have a 3.0 GPA and completed two AP Social Studies courses. Please see a current member, Mr. Eldridge, or visit the Rho Kappa page on the CMS website for more information. Applications and transcripts are due no later than Friday, August 27th, to Mr. Eldridge in room 115.

Students, if you chose a locker and did not register it on the sign-up genius, this should be completed today. We will be locking those lockers that are not registered in use.
If you are interested in trying out for the Middle School or High School Swim Team, there will be an informational meeting in Coach Wagner's Room at 3:15 on Monday, August 16th. If you have any questions or are unable to attend, please email Coach Wagner.
There will be a meeting for those interested in joining the Tiger Bowling Team in Coach Snow's room on Monday, August 16th. We will meet in room 205 at 3:10 p.m.
We will be hosting Spike-ball & Corn hole tournaments at Tiger Hunt THIS Saturday 8/14. If you are interested in participating in either of these events please put your name on the sign-up sheet posted on the gym doors by Friday at 12.
Reminder: All students can eat breakfast and lunch for free every day. In the mornings, come by the cafeteria to pick up breakfast.
