The library will be open each morning from 7:30-8:00 for students that need to come check out books or want to sit and read or work in the library. They are trying something new this year before school to allow different groups of students to visit the library on specific days. Mondays and Wednesdays will be for high school students only, Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for 7th and 8th grade only, and Friday is reserved for Seniors only. The schedule will be posted on the library doors and around the school as a reminder. 

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Rho Kappa, the National Honor Society for Social Studies, is accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year. Eligible members must have a 3.0 GPA and completed two AP Social Studies courses. Please see a current member, Mr. Eldridge, or visit the Rho Kappa page on the CMS website for more information. Applications and transcripts are due no later than Friday, August 27th, to Mr. Eldridge in room 115. 

If you are interested in running for middle school student council, please make plans to attend an informational meeting 8/30 during club time (C rotation). The meeting will be held in the gym. If you have questions, please see Coach Jones.   

Hey Spanish-Learners! The National Spanish Honor Society is ready for YOU! We will be meeting next Monday, Aug 23rd during club time, and if you're interested in becoming a member, please fill out the Online Membership Form located on Ms. Kime and Ms. Pinson's websites. Dues will be brought to the first meeting. Please see your teachers for any additional information! We look forward to serving the community with you this school year!  Thank you!! 

Interested in joining Senior Beta Club this year? If so, please check out the Senior Beta webpage and click on the application information tab. All completed applications must be submitted to Ms. Frazer in room 104 before 3 PM on Wednesday, September 1. If you have any questions, please email, or speak to Ms. Frazer.  

Are you a middle or high school student in Strings, Band, Choir, or Music Theory? Are you interested in serving your community through music? If so, come to the Tri-M Music Honor Society Club during B rotation. The first meeting is Monday, August 23rd and we hope to see you there!  

Attention high schoolers.  Student Council elections are just around the corner.  Please visit the high school StuCo website if you are interested.  There are positions available at all levels, from 9th grade to student body.  Email Dr. Hines, Ms. Benjamin, and/or Coach Nichols if you have any questions about the procedures. 

The Central Entrepreneurship Organization will be having an interest meeting for any high schooler during club time on August 30th in room #336 in the Annex. If you are interested in learning about business and what entrepreneurs go through, then be there on August 30th.  

Any student who sews regularly and is interested in making costumes for the fall play please see Mrs. Sweet. Student will need to have access to their own sewing machine. 

The deadline for 7th grade immunizations is Monday, August 23rd. If the school does not have a copy of your current shot record showing proof that you have received the Tdap vaccine, you will be sent home from school. You cannot return until the school has a copy of your records. If you have any questions, please see Nurse Anderson. 

College Corner will start back up on Tuesday, Aug. 24 during C/D lunch. We will host the Naval Academy, the University of Louisville, and Lipscomb. Please stop by to see them! 

Monday, August 23 is the last day to change to a new class. Please see your counselor if you have questions.  

The High School girls’ soccer team defeated Coffee Co. 4-0 tonight in a game that ended early in the second half due to weather.  Meghan Delaney Scored a brace.  Ashleigh Clark scored once and tacked on an assist. Zoe London had two assists, and Reiley Gusman scored the final goal. 

If you are interested in traveling to Ireland in June 2022, Coach Snow will be conducting an interest meeting for students and parents in Room 205 on Monday, August 23 at 6:00 p.m. Contact Coach Snow if you need further details. 

The Middle School Volleyball team picked up their 3rd win of the week on Thursday defeating a scrappy Smyrna team in 3 sets: 22-25, 25-14, 15-7. The JV team picked up their 2nd win of the season, also winning in 3 sets. Gracelyn Goad connected on 7 consecutive aces to tie the score up late in the 3rd set. Both teams will return to action Monday night at home versus Siegel. Come out and support the Lady Tigers!
