The library will be open each morning from 7:30-8:00 for students that need to come check out books or want to sit and read or work in the library. They are trying something new this year before school to allow different groups of students to visit the library on specific days. Mondays and Wednesdays will be for high school students only, Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for 7th and 8th grade only, and Friday is reserved for Seniors only. The schedule will be posted on the library doors and around the school as a reminder.
Attention 6th graders! Remember you will report to the auditorium for advisory this week.
Students in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade you may now sign up for the PSAT test in attendance. Cost is $18 and the test will be given during the school day on October 13. Registration is now through September 10. Late registration can't be accepted due to ordering guidelines. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Huffman or your guidance counselor.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Rho Kappa, the National Honor Society for Social Studies, is accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year. Eligible members must have a 3.0 GPA and completed two AP Social Studies courses. Please see a current member, Mr. Eldridge, or visit the Rho Kappa page on the CMS website for more information. Applications and transcripts are due no later than Friday, August 27th, to Mr. Eldridge in room 115.

The Central Entrepreneurship Organization will be having an interest meeting for any high schooler during club time on August 30th in room #336 in the Annex. If you are interested in learning about business and what entrepreneurs go through, then be there on August 30th.

Juniors and Seniors: If you are taking a dual enrollment class this year, you MUST complete all necessary paperwork this week. Check your school email for a message from MTSU about which documents you may still be missing. See your counselor for questions.
A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Know your emergency evacuation routes at school and at home. Don’t forget to identify a secondary evacuation route in case your primary route is not available.
Your Middle School Lady Tiger soccer team defeated LaVergne Middle Thursday on the pitch by the score of 4-2. Hayley Mangrum led the way with two second half goals while Nicole Bryson and Lillie Bryant each scored earlier in the match. Nicole and Lillie also each had an assist in the game, as did Sofia Kime. Taylor Ertl had six saves in goal, securing the victory. This week we host Rockvale on Tuesday and Rocky Fork on Thursday.

The Middle School Volleyball picked up win # 4 on the season Monday Night against Siegel Middle. The Lady Tigers rallied from behind to win the first set 26-24. They dropped the 2nd set 21-25, before winning the match in the third set 15-5. Maddie Porter led the way with 11 kills. The JV lost a hard-fought match, losing in three sets, 12-25, 25-23, 7-15. The Lady Tigers return to action Thursday Night when they travel to Rock Springs Middle.
