The library will be open each morning from 7:30-8:00 for students that need to come check out books or want to sit and read or work in the library. They are trying something new this year before school to allow different groups of students to visit the library on specific days. Mondays and Wednesdays will be for high school students only, Tuesdays and Thursdays will be for 7th and 8th grade only, and Friday is reserved for Seniors only. The schedule will be posted on the library doors and around the school as a reminder.
Students in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade you may now sign up for the PSAT test in attendance. Cost is $18 and the test will be given during the school day on October 13. Registration is now through September 10. Late registration can't be accepted due to ordering guidelines. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Huffman or your guidance counselor.
Attention Juniors and Seniors: Rho Kappa, the National Honor Society for Social Studies, is accepting applications for the 2021-22 school year. Eligible members must have a 3.0 GPA and completed two AP Social Studies courses. Please see a current member, Mr. Eldridge, or visit the Rho Kappa page on the CMS website for more information. Applications and transcripts are due no later than Friday, August 27th, to Mr. Eldridge in room 115.

The Central Entrepreneurship Organization will be having an interest meeting for any high schooler during club time on August 30th in room #336 in the Annex. If you are interested in learning about business and what entrepreneurs go through, then be there on August 30th.

A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Know your emergency evacuation routes at school and at home. Don’t forget to identify a secondary evacuation route in case your primary route is not available.

The Tigers Golf team defeated Riverdale Monday 347-378. Eli Austin and Owen Zubkus both fired an 82 while Ryan Thweatt shot an 88. Rachel Chan was the low medalist with a 75 as the Lady Tigers bested an undefeated Riverdale girls' team. The Tigers take on Oakland at Cedar Crest next Tuesday.
The high school girls team feel to Warren Co. 5-2 last night. Reily Gusman had a goal and an assist, Addie Henninger scored once, and Ashleigh Clark added an assist. The team will look to bounce back at the Smoky Mtn. Cup this weekend.
The Middle School Girls Soccer Team JV defeated Rockvale last night by the score of 2-0. Emersyn Gusman and Lillie Bryant scores two exciting goals. The varsity was defeated 5-1 with Nicole Bryson banging in a shot. We will host Rocky Fork this Thursday at 4:30.
