Students, if you are planning to get your Driver's Permit over Fall Break, you will need to come by the Attendance Office to pick up your SF1010 forms, before leaving for Fall Break this Friday. 

 

Juniors and Seniors, if you are interested in joining the Science National Honor Society, please go to the website for the application link.  Applicants must have an overall GPA greater than 3.5 and a science class GPA greater than 3.75.  The application link will be available until Monday, Oct 11th.  Please see Mr. Bonanno with any questions. 

 

SNHS has officially started offering tutoring for all science subjects available to high school students during C and D lunches. The sign-up link can be found on the SNHS web page (or as a QR code on a poster located in all high school science classrooms.) Tutoring sessions will take place in Room 131 on Monday and Wednesday and Room 128 on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. If you have any questions, please contact Emily Morgan or Mr. Bonanno.   

 

Any middle school student interested in auditioning for Matilda Jr: There will be an audition clinic during CT on Wednesday, September 29th in Dr. Saxon's room. Ms. Sweet and Dr. Saxon will discuss auditions details like what to expect, what to prepare, and what to bring. If interested, please make sure to attend that clinic. An audition packet and information will be provided on Ms. Sweet's and Dr. Saxon's websites.  

 

The high school cross country team is hosting a breakfast fundraiser in the senior cafeteria this Friday.  Sausage and chicken biscuits are $3, donuts are $2, and water or soda costs $1.  If you want all three, you can get a special deal for the $5 combo.  Go Tigers! 

 

Middle school boys basketball will have a tryout on Monday, October 11th from 3-4:30 at Central.  This tryout is for students that did not get a chance to tryout in May. 

 

The Tiger Bowling Team competed in its first match yesterday vs. Stewarts Creek. The Tigers fell a little short, but an improvement over previous years has assuredly been made. The Tigers were in the hunt for the entire match and only fell 100 total pins short in six games. Their next match pits them against Riverdale on Thursday. GEAUX TIGERS! 

 

The Middle School Volleyball team lost on Tuesday night in the semi-finals of the District Tournament to eventual champion Blackman. The loss ended what was a historic season for the program, finishing the season with an 11-4 record and earning the #3 seed in the District Tournament. Maddie Porter was named to the All-County Team and Camryn Faulk was named to the All-Tournament Team. The Lady Tigers would like to thank everyone for their support during this memorable season.  

 

The High school soccer team wrapped up district play with a 1-0 win over Tullahoma.  Ashleigh Clark scored the game-winner off of a pass from Maria Kime.  Josie Bush had a strong push late to make the goal possible.  Brooke Hamilton and Alyssa Kini combined in goal for the shutout.  The ladies finish 2nd in the district with a 6-1 record and only one goal against in district play.   

 

The Middle School girls’ soccer team finished their regular season last night with a big win at Christiana by a score of 6-0. A dominating defensive performance was led by Katherine Wooton, Landry LaPointe, Molly Glover, and Alli Crass. LaPointe, Nicole Bryson, Lillie Bryant, Hayley Mangrum, and Sofia Kime all scored in the victory. The JV also was victorious, ending the season with a winning record. Caroline Bogle scores twice and Emersyn Gusman scored once in the 3-0 victory. The district tournament starts tonight against Whitworth Buchanan at Siegel high school at 6pm.
