Attention Sophomores:  If you are currently enrolled in a level 4 or AP world language course and would like to take the exam that qualifies you to earn the Seal of Biliteracy, there are 10 spaces available.  See Ms. Dixon's webpage to register for the exam.  

 

High School students, are you interested in careers in Architecture, Construction Management, and Engineering? Then you should join the ACE Mentoring Club. The first meeting is this Wednesday from 3:15 to 4:30 and will be held virtually.  Please visit the club website for link and see Mr. Bonanno with any questions.

Seniors: University of Alabama is offering a free application Oct. 18-22. Go to the University of Alabama Free App Week webpage for more details at https://go.ua.edu/free-app-week. Ole Miss is also offering a free application Oct. 15-17 by using the code FreeApp21. 

 

Congrats to the high school cross country team for another fantastic week.  Both boys and girls captured the AA title with the Midstate Cross Country Association.  In total, eleven runners earned season bests on this challenging course.  Senior Samantha Ouellette and Junior Mikayla Morrell led the way for the girls while Seniors Blake Yuenger and Logan Kelley paced the boys.  Your high school cross country team returns to action next Tuesday in the region 4 A/AA championships at Henry Horton State Park.  Be sure to congratulate them and wish them the best as they get set for the postseason! 

 

Congratulations to our Central Magnet High School volleyball players for the following all district and all region accolades:  Regular Season All District Team (Mia Finley, Grace Martindale, Noella Obi), All District Tournament Team (Mia Finley, Noella Obi, Emma Grace Smith), All Region Tournament Team (Brooke Filaroski and EmmaGrace Smith) 

 

The high school girls’ soccer team will play Montgomery Central tonight at 6pm at Richard Siegel Park.  This match will be the region semifinal. and cost $5 to attend. 

 

Attention, seniors! Don't forget that this Sunday, October 24th, is the last day to submit your senior quote and accomplishment for the yearbook. The form is set to stop accepting responses at 11:59 P.M. on Sunday, so be sure to submit yours before then. You can access the form through the yearbook tab on Mrs. Quinn's webpage. If you do not submit one of your own, “always by best” will be used as your quote in the yearbook.
