Our last College Corner of the year will host Samford University, Motlow, Western Kentucky University, and MTSU (scholarships) on Tuesday, Nov. 9 during C/D lunches. Stop by and see them!
Mu Alpha Tutoring will only be available on Wednesday 11/10 in the morning due to an in-school math contest after school. We are sorry for the inconvenience. We will resume regularly scheduled tutoring sessions before and after school next Wednesday!
CONGRATULATIONS to the following members of the Middle School Choristers: Molly Bartsch, Elizabeth Holzmann, Paisley Bruns, Madi Duggin, Allison Fisher, Justice Hartley, Lydia King, Danika Lee, and Marleigh Parker. After submitting recorded vocal auditions, these students were selected to sing with the Middle TN Middle School Honor Choir. They will represent Central Magnet and Rutherford County Schools at the Honor Choir event, which will be held in Nashville in January.
The Middle School Swim Team had a great first meet on Saturday at the Middle School Sprint Invitational at LaVergne High School. The girls team placed 2nd overall and the boys team placed third overall with the team as a whole placing third amongst the 6 teams. Congratulations to Kim Bao Nguyen and Alex Abbott who placed first in both of their individual events plus their relays which also included Ashtyn Patterson, Chloe Roeder, and Marissa Bratsch. Congratulations to Parker Lindquist for placing 1st in the 50 Backstroke. We would also like to recognize Mady Oring who placed 3rd in the 100 IM, Chloe Roeder who placed 3rd in the 100 Free, Ashtyn Patterson who placed 3rd in the 50 Backstroke, and Jake Bull who placed 3rd in the 50 Breastroke. Congratulations to the following swimmers who qualified for Regionals in either the 50 Free or 100 Free: Mady Oring, Marissa Bratsch, Alex Abbott, Chloe Roeder, JT Parkerson, and Parker Lindquist. The Tigers are back in action on Tuesday, November 16th against Oakland Middle and Page Middle! Go Tigers!
If you are interested in playing for the High School men's soccer team stop by the team website and fill out the interest form. There will also be an interest meeting on Monday the 15th at 6pm at Central.
