It's Geography Awareness Week and although the National Geographic Society made the decision to no longer hold the National Geographic Bee, we are excited to announce that Central Magnet School will hold our own GeoBee to keep the tradition alive. This contest is for middle school students only. On Wednesday, during your lunch study hall time, middle school students will be able to take the Qualifying Quiz posted on Coach Burns' webpage. Please see his GeoBeewebpage for all the details.

This Wednesday is GIS Day, and the Intro to GIS class invites you to visit their map gallery displayed outside room 210 near the library. The students were given one task: make a map using ArcGIS Pro. We hope you enjoy them, and if you think you'd enjoy mapmaking yourself, consider taking Intro to GIS in high school, or joining the GIS Club in middle school.
