The Central Entrepreneur Organization is having a special guest speaker marketing guest speaker on Tuesday January 18th. The meeting will be after school and will be in Mrs. Taylor's room.  

Homecoming is next Friday, January 21st!   

High school students - we are playing Capture the Flag on Homecoming Day. We need 2 teams of 6 (3 boys and 3 girls) from each grade level. If you want to play, see the student council webpage or Dr Hines for a permission form.  

The dress up days are  

Tuesday: Anything but Backpack day 

Wednesday: Space Day 

Thursday: Celebrity Day  

Friday: Black and Gold / Class Colors  

Academically eligible Juniors and Seniors received an email Tuesday, January 11 with an invitation to apply for membership to the CMS chapter of the National Honor Society. This is a national club for high school students that recognizes individuals who have displayed excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Electronic applications are due Friday, January 21. See Mr. Windham for more details. 

Are you interested in playing Middle School softball?  We will have a tryout on January 31 at Barfield Park from 4-5pm. Students wanting to tryout must get a sports physical and complete the profile in DragonflyMax before tryouts. The High School JV basketball team extended their unbeaten streak last night to ten with a 53-35 win over Hume Fogg. The leading scorer on the night was Owen Zubkus with 17, Carson Wood scored 10, and Will Becker had 7.  

"The Central Magnet Tigers Men's basketball team improved to 11-6 on the season with a 63-35 victory over the visiting Hume-Fogg Blue Knights last night. The Tigers were led by Mason Brown with 25 points, Will Becker had 8 and Jake Maddox and Kyle Messerly chipped in 6 each. 

The Tigers are now 4-0 in District 10AAA and return to action this Friday with a home game vs Franklin Classical School." 

Middle School Lady Tigers had another pair of wins against Siegel last night.   The JV game down to the wire with an exciting put back by Samarah Odell for the go ahead point.  The varsity won 32-25 and was led in scoring by Liana Reyes with 11 and Julia Stuible added 8. Next game is home and 8th grade night on Thursday, Jan 13th.  

The Lady Tigers improved to 4-0 in the District and 14-4 overall as they defeated Hume Fogg last night 58-20. Addison Melton led all scorers with 19pts, and she also had 5assist and 5 steals, Olivia Hart had 15pts, Reilly McMillan and Rylee Pelham each had 6pts, Kaitlin Polly, Reagan Brand and Libby Hines each had 4pts, and Bethany Jackson and Vada Thomas rounded out the scoring with 1pt each. The Lady Tigers next game will be next Tuesday at Valor Collegiate Academy.
