The High School Swim Team competed in the Rutherford County Championship Swim Meet on Saturday. The team walked away with a combined second place, with the girls placing third and the boys tying for first with Oakland High School. The boy’s relays had one first place finish and one second place finish, while the girl’s relays had two second place finishes. Congratulations to Lilly Ann Brown for placing fifth in the 200 Free and third in the 500 Free; Cameron Walker who placed third in the 200 Individual Medley and sixth in the 100 Breastroke; Jackie Dummermuth for placing fourth in the 100 Breaststroke; Evan Keegan for placing third in the 100 Free; Taylor Walker for placing second in the 100 Free and second in the 100 back; Cameron Conley who placed fourth in the 200 Free and first in the 500 Free; Jean Drugmand who placed first in the 200 Individual Medley and fourth in the 100 Butterfly; Caden Sweetman for placing second in the 50 Free and first in the 100 Breastroke; and Parker Dawes for placing first in the 50 Free and first in the 100 Butterfly. Go Tigers!  

The Lady Tigers picked up a huge district win Friday by defeating Maplewood 58-42. With the win the Lady Tigers improve to 14-4 overall but more importantly 6-0 in district play. Addison Melton led all scorers with 20 points and had 10 rebounds and 5 assists, Olivia Hart added 14 points and 9 rebounds, Bethany Jackson chipped in 12 points including three 3’s & also had 7 rebounds, Kaitlin Polly had 6 points, 6 rebounds & 3 assist, and Reese Carlisle had 4 points. The Lady Tigers will be on the road tomorrow night at Hillwood.  

Middle school girls earned a spot in the championship of the Area 9 tournament by defeating EO Coffman 37-29 in Saturday’s semi-final. The win was secured with a balanced attack led by Julia Stuible with 10, Madison Stanley had 8, Lia Reyes and Clara Johnson each had 7 while Reese Martin added 5. The championship game will be tonight at Central beginning at 6:00. Please come out and show your support! 

Central Car Club is once again needing Central Magnet School students to earn service hours by helping with the Stones River Region, Antique Automobile Club of America Swap meet on Saturday, February 5th, and Sunday, February 6th, at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville
