Any 6th grade student interested in competing in the 5th annual Central Magnet 6th grade spelling bee needs to fill out the interest form located on Mrs. Stanley's website. Deadline to fill out the form is Friday, February 18 at 3pm. If you do not complete the form, you will not be able to participate.
High school students: We'd love to for you to come by the library and check out this week and pick up a sweet treat on us! Please check your Destiny account before you visit so you can turn in any books when you come. All students who have no overdue books and check out the week of Valentine's Day will get a sweet treat when they visit the library.

The JV Boys Basketball team out scored Valor 26-13 in the second half for a come from behind victory on Friday! Final score 45-37. The team finishes their season with a record of 17 wins and only 1 loss. Leading scorer on the night was Carson Wood with 19 (including five 3’s), Alijah Dean had 10, Owen Zubkus had 6, and Stef Scarvell had 4 points. If you see any of the JV boys, be sure to congratulate them as they achieved the best record in school history for JV basketball.
The Lady Tigers won their 20th game last Friday night 52-17 over Valor. The win secures the Lady Tigers the number one seed in the upcoming 10AAA basketball tournament. The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Olivia Hart with 18pts, Kaitlin Polly added 6pts, while Bethany Jackson had 5pts, Reagan Brand, Addison Melton, and Julia Stuible each contributed 4pts, Reese Carlisle and Reilly McMillian each finished with 3pts, Libby Hines and Regan Creasy had 2pts each and Rylee Pelham had 1pt. The Lady Tigers will play the winner of Hillwood and Valor this Saturday at 3pm at Maplewood HS.
