If your name is not spelled correctly or if you are not on the list, but believe you should be, please email Dr. Hines. This Monday, April 11th, the WORLD CUP SOCCER TOURNAMENT will return to Central after a 2-year hiatus! Each Foreign Language will present a team ready to vie for the FL World Cup Trophy! Everyone is invited out to the main Soccer Field during club time (10:30 - 11AM) on Monday to cheer on your language. For Spanish, wear RED; French BLUE; German GREEN; and for Latin, wear WHITE. The National Spanish Exam will take place MONDAY and TUESDAY, April 11th and 12th for those registered students. As a reminder, all registered need to arrive on time during your normal Spanish class to Lab 134 with ear buds to take the Exam. If you have any questions, please reach out to your Spanish teacher. Over spring break, 7 students represented Central Magnet at the HOSA State Leadership Convention in Knoxville. Congratulations to Jenna Cagle, Hannah Gardner, and Nahum Endale for placing 2nd in their respective competitions and to Nelly Brimah and Sofia Cardoso for placing 3rd. All of these students will advance to the HOSA International Convention in June. If you see these students, be sure to congratulate them!

Today is spring picture day. These pictures are optional; however, if you are planning to have one taken, be sure you follow the schedule that is located on the CMS webpage and that has also been shared with your teachers. Pictures have been scheduled according to grade level and will begin with juniors at 8:10. Once your picture has been taken, you should leave the gym immediately and return to class.
Tryouts for the high school cheer team will take place in the Central gym after school beginning April 19th through April 22nd. Information packets are available on the high school cheer web page or through Ms. Benjamin in Room 120. All paperwork is due by April 18th. Please contact Ms. Benjamin with any questions or concerns and we look forward to seeing all prospective cheerleaders on April 19th!
The Tiger baseball team defeated Hume-Fogg 14-2 Collin Wind got his first high school win on the mound throwing a complete game with 10 strikeouts. Mason Lanza, Adam Apigian, and John Cook all had 3 hits each. John Cook added 3 RBI. Your Tigers will host Hume-Fogg Today at HOME at 6:30.
If you are planning on trying out for middle school cheer, this message is for you: Mandatory summer camp dates have changed, they will now be held at separate times. July 9-10th and July 20-22nd. It must be split due to a change in the organization that will provide our camps. Please reach out to Ms. Hale if you have any further questions.
The High School team opened district 10-AAA play with a convincing 18-0 win at Maplewood on Monday night. Jacey Goetzinger picked up the win in the circle, hurling 4 innings with 7 strikeouts. Reese Carlisle was 2 for 2 at the plate, picking up a double and 4 RBI. The lady tigers return to action tonight as they travel to Cascade High School.
The MS softball team lost to Christiana 14-1. Reagan Turnbow had 2 hits and the lady tigers' only RBI. Nicole Bryson also had 2 hits. Olivia Groce had a great catch in left field and Riley Osborne made a double play in center field. The lady tigers return to action Thursday when they play Siegel away.
The Middle School Boys Soccer team defeated Christiana by a score of 3-1 yesterday. Scoring goals for the Tigers were Kai Jones, Carson Phillips, and Jacob Gardner. The JV Soccer team also won their game by a score of 4-1. Scoring goals for the Tigers were Ben Hogan, Brady Barrett, and Adrian Meho with 2 goals. The teams travel to Siegel Middle on Thursday for their next game.
