The permission form to arrive late/ leave early on days of AP testing is now available. These are due to attendance no later than 4/28. Forms can be found on the central website, in the attendance office or directly from your AP teacher.  

Attention sophomores and juniors, applications for the National English Honor Society are now available on Mrs. Esberger's webpage. The application will close on Friday, April 22nd.  

Please join the Black Student Union for a Senior Seminar at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 30.  The topic of this seminar will be Navigating College, with a focus on experiences for minority students.  The event will begin at 10:00 am with donuts and coffee.  Please RSVP using the form on the BSU website to attend. 

Destress Fest will be on Monday, April 25th from 4 pm-7 pm CST at Central Magnet School! This is a chance for students to relax before AP Exams! There will be pizza and drinks, so bring a blanket and a friend and relax with us! Destress Fest is on the last Monday before AP Exams, so our subject-based National Honors Societies will have tutors available for any last-minute questions! There will be corn-hole, spike-ball, board games, and more! Come to Destress Fest Monday, April 25th! :)  

FCA will meet each Friday morning starting this Friday April 22nd in the auditorium. Student-led meetings will begin at 7:35 and wrap up by 7:55. Join us this week for a message from Isaac Smith. Donuts will be served. 

Student Council elections are just around the corner for current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.  Please visit the high school student council page for full details.  Touch base with Dr. Hines or Coach Nichols if you have any questions. 

Salvete Omnes!  In honor of Classics Week, Latin club is sponsoring a daily trivia contest.  On a piece of paper - write the answer to the question and your name.  Deposit in the box in Room 225. At the end of the day, a winner will be drawn from the correct answers.  If anyone has correct answers on all five questions, a grand prize winner will be drawn.  Today we have two questions: 

1.) Who blamed banishment on a poem and an impropriety?    2.) Which Sophoclean character has killed Laius?" 

Anyone who is interested in middle school cheerleading, this reminder is for you: We will begin clinics next Tuesday the 26th in the CMS gymnasium from 3:30-5:30 pm. You must have everything uploaded to Dragonfly in order to participate in clinics, or try out. Looking forward to seeing you there! 

The softball team continued their hot streak with a 13-0 win over Lavergne Wednesday night. Freshman Megan Weber pitched 4 strong innings, striking out 5. Hali Phillips, Emma Tellez, Reese Carlisle and Ashley Davis all drove in multiple runs.  

The JV team picked up a 15-0 win. Kaitlin Polly recorded a no-hitter in her pitching debut.  

Tonight (Thursday night) the lady tigers will be hosting district rival Maplewood at 5:30. It is also Stripe Squad Pizza Party night, so come out support the softball team and enjoy some free pizza. 

Your Tiger baseball team won 11-3 over Community. Adam Apigian got the Win giving up only 3 hits & striking out 4. Carter Long had 2 hits. Jake Hogue had a big, 2-out, 2 RBI hit. Hayden Griggs added a long 2-run home run over the center-field wall. The Tigers host Maplewood tonight at 5:00. We will recognize our seniors pre-game. All students get in FREE.
