The permission form to arrive late/ leave early on days of AP testing is now available. These are due to attendance no later than 4/28. Forms can be found on the central website, in the attendance office or directly from your AP teacher.  

We would like to congratulate junior Anna Robertson for being selected as the principal violist in this year's 11th and 12th grade All-State Symphony Orchestra! 

Attention sophomores and juniors, applications for the National English Honor Society are now available on Mrs. Esberger's webpage. The application will close on Friday, April 22nd.  

Please join the Black Student Union for a Senior Seminar at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 30.  The topic of this seminar will be Navigating College, with a focus on experiences for minority students.  The event will begin at 10:00 am with donuts and coffee.  Please RSVP using the form on the BSU website to attend. 

Destress Fest will be on Monday, April 25th from 4 pm-7 pm CST at Central Magnet School! This is a chance for students to relax before AP Exams! There will be pizza and drinks, so bring a blanket and a friend and relax with us! Destress Fest is on the last Monday before AP Exams, so our subject-based National Honors Societies will have tutors available for any last-minute questions! There will be corn-hole, spike-ball, board games, and more! Come to Destress Fest Monday, April 25th! :)

Salvete Omnes!  In honor of Classics Week, Latin club is sponsoring a daily trivia contest.  On a piece of paper - write the answer to the question and your name.  Deposit in the box in Room 225. At the end of the day, a winner will be drawn from the correct answers.  If anyone has correct answers all five days, a grand prize winner will be drawn.  Today's question

Anyone who is interested in middle school cheerleading, this reminder is for you: We will begin clinics next Tuesday the 26th in the CMS gymnasium from 3:30-5:30 pm. You must have everything uploaded to Dragonfly in order to participate in clinics, or try-out. Looking forward to seeing you there! 

The High school JV soccer team defeated Siegel 2-1 last night with goals coming from Landon Scraggins and Miles Ritter.  Jace Traughber had an assist. 

The Varsity and JV play again tonight against Page High School.  The Varsity plays for 1st in the district with kickoff at 4:30 at Central.  The JV follows at 6 pm.  All Central students get in free." 

The high school softball team moved to 6-0 in district play with a 14-0 win over Maplewood Thursday Night. Jacey Goetzinger was perfect in the circle, striking out 7 in 3 innings. Hali Phillips connected for her first career homerun and drove in 4 runs. Huge shoutout those Stripe Squad members who showed up for the pizza party- thanks for your support.  The lady tigers travel to Gallatin Friday afternoon for tournament matchups with Hendersonville and Trousdale County. 

MS softball lost to Stewart's Creek. Laney Hatfield recorded her first hit as a Lady Tiger with a scorching line drive up the middle. Charlee Denney was sneaky and stole 2 bases back-to-back. Ashton McKinney made a great catch in left field. Olivia Groce pitched the full game on her birthday! Please come out to Barfield Park Monday at 4:15 as we celebrate our 8th graders in a pre-game ceremony, and then watch the Lady Tigers get our last win of the regular season against Smyrna!  

The Middle School boys’ soccer team suffered a tough loss to Stewarts Creek yesterday losing 5-2. Scoring both goals for the Tigers was Jacob Gardner. The JV team defeated Stewarts Creek 5-1. Scoring goals were Wesley Shamburger, Adian Meho with 2 goals and Ellis Striepling with 2 goals. The team plays their final game of the regular season on Monday at home against Smyrna. Admission is free for all CMS students.
