The permission form to arrive late/ leave early on days of AP testing is now available. These are due to attendance no later than 4/28. Forms can be found on the central website, in the attendance office or directly from your AP teacher.
We will hold our annual senior walk this Wednesday! At 12:45, seniors will take their caps and gowns to the auditorium and go out the back door to the soccer field for lunch. Seniors, remember to bring picnic blankets and picnic lunches. Seniors will come back in that back auditorium door to get their caps and gowns on and start the walk from the auditorium at 1:30. This is a day of celebration as we acknowledge our wonderful class of 2022!
Please join the Black Student Union for a Senior Seminar at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 30. The topic of this seminar will be Navigating College, with a focus on experiences for minority students. The event will begin at 10:00 am with donuts and coffee. Please RSVP using the form on the BSU website to attend.
The following high school choir students were selected by audition to participate in regional and state honor choirs this spring:
Jocelyn Cummings and Tessa Long participated in the Middle Tennessee Freshman Honor Choir, held in Murfreesboro.
Mia Eller, Amy Hopkins, Isabella Kinard, Rebecca Klukowski, Ashleigh Massengill, Emily Morgan, Elena Newburry, Leah Pruter, and Sam Tipps participated in Mid-State Honor Choir, held in Nashville.
In addition, Amy Hopkins, Isabella Kinard, Rebecca Klukowski, Elena Newburry and Leah Pruter were selected to participate in the Tennessee Music Educators Association All-State Choirs. These choirs feature the “best of the best” high school choral singers in the state, and selection for All-State is the highest level of achievement for a high school choral student. These students will travel to Nashville to participate in All-State Wednesday - Friday of this week.
Congratulations to all these outstanding choir students for their accomplishments!
Your Tiger baseball team beat Hillwood last night 15 to 5 to remain undefeated in district play. Adam Apigian got the win on the mound striking out 5. Jake Hogue led the offense with 2 hits and 7 RBI. Mason Lanza had 3 hits and 4 stolen bases. John Cook added 2 hits. Your Tigers will host Hillwood today at 5:00. All students get in FREE
The Men’s Soccer Team stayed undefeated in District play with a 5-1 win over Giles County last night. Clay Thompson & Will Kassebaum both netted goals, Brady Loughry & Jordan McGoffin both had assists, and Andre Moriel scored a goal and provided an assist.
Luke "The Rabbit" Chabbit gave a man of the Match performance with a pair of goals and an assist.
And, of course, none of this would have been possible without the stellar leadership and bus driving skills of Coach Bennett.
The Soccer Team will be back in action on Thursday at home against Marshall County.
The lady tiger softball team lost a tough one Tuesday night to a very good MTCS team 4-3 Ellie Nath threw 6 strong innings, allowing only 2 earned runs and striking out 5. Jacey Goetzinger picked up 2 hits including a double. Jasmy Stanley, Payton Nicholson and Emma Tellez added hits.
The softball team travels to Blackman tonight (Wednesday) for a JV/Varsity doubleheader. JV at 5 with varsity to follow.
We have a service opportunity with Bradley Academy. They are hosting a Reading and Math Night this Thursday and need some volunteers to assist with parent registration and technical support as well as setting up games for the families to play. Tomorrow is yearbook distribution day! Yearbooks will be delivered to your classrooms throughout the morning beginning with seniors during 1st period, and the signing will take place in the afternoon. If you didn't purchase a yearbook but would still like to get one of your own, we will have a limited number for sale tomorrow. The yearbooks will cost $100 and can only be paid for with cash. Listen to announcements in the morning for more information about when and where those will be sold.
