Students, if you are interested in taking a summer school course please see your school counselor for the required paperwork this week.  Summer School registration will begin on May 27 at Blackman High School from 4-7 PM.

If you received an invitation to High School Awards Night, please report to the auditorium this Friday, May 20th at the beginning of 6th period to go over the details for the ceremony.  If you have any questions, see Dr. Hines. 

We'd like to congratulate 8th grader Sophie Tan on her recent musical achievement. Sophie participated in the Young Artist Achievement Awards competition held by the Nashville Area Music Teacher Association and was selected as the winner in the 7th and 8th grade piano category.

Students wanting to get their Drivers Permit this summer must get the SF1010 form in the Attendance office before the Summer break.

The schedule for cleaning out lockers has been sent to teachers with times for each grade level. Freshmen and Sophomores will go during 1st period at their scheduled time.  For Juniors and 6th grade, your time slot is during 2nd period.  7th and 8th grade will clean out during their scheduled times in 3rd period. First Priority Club members and other volunteers will be in the hallways to assist. Thank you for helping us recycle some supplies in a very beneficial way!

Students who have registered for Dual Enrollment Pre-Calculus need to attend a very important meeting today during 4th period in the auditorium. Please make sure to attend if you plan to take this class.

Tryouts for the girls and boys HS cross country team will be Friday, May 27th from 10:30-11:30am.  You must have all paperwork completed in dragonfly. If you have questions, please see Coach Nichols or Coach Windham.

The high school men's soccer team played another high-stake match with Page last night.  Regular time ended 0-0, and the score didn't change through two overtime periods.   All that was left was Penalties. Central ended up falling in Penalties 4-2. With the loss the boys will travel to play Valor Collegiate this Saturday at 7pm.  The match will be hosted by Trevecca University.  Winner of this match goes to state.

The Central Magnet girl’s tennis team ended their season by dropping a 4-0 match to Brentwood Thursday in the Class AA Sectionals. The Tigers finished 15-3 this season. Congratulations to coaches Joanna Angel, and Jill Speight, and the ladies on another outstanding season.
