MESA de ESPAÑOL (Spanish Round Table) begins TODAY on C Rotation! We eat, speak, and have fun! No correction, just building confidence and fluency! Come by Mrs Pinson's Room Monday and see what it is all about! 

International thespian society is the theatre club at Central and will meet TODAY during C club rotation. We have some exciting plans for the club this school year. Any student who is interested in learning more should stop by during club rotation. You do not have to be a theatre student to join and it is open to both middle and high school students. Please see Mrs. Sweet if you have any more questions!  

Mu Alpha Theta will be meeting TODAY during C club rotation in room 100. We are a math honorary that celebrates our love of math by participating in both group and individual competitions! This will be our first meeting of the year and we are excited to welcome new and existing members. We hope to see you all there! 

Central Outdoors and Recreational Education (CORE) is a high school club with students who share a passion for the outdoors. This club aspires to have multiple outdoor activities through out the year, like hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and fishing to name a few. Additionally, we will complete service opportunities that help better our communities environment. There will be an interest meeting for new and old members on Thursday, September 1st after school in Mrs. SK's room, room 116.  

Middle Schoolers:  If you are interested in being a Student Council officer, come to Ms. Kime's room - Room #213 -  during Club Time TODAY. 

The UNICEF Club is meeting during C rotation TODAY in Coach Burns' room 202. Check our website to see what we're about and come to the meeting where snacks will be provided. 

Students who would like to a part of the Tri-M Music Honor Society must submit their signed Acceptance Forms to Mrs. Way-Kiani no later than Wednesday, August 31st. 

The McDonalds at 106 SE Broad St (corner of SE Broad and Church St) is supporting CMS this year. Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 30 they will donate 20 % of all sales between 5-8 pm back to CMS.You do not have to state they are with the school or show any identification, just show up and purchase. 

The High school girl's soccer team traveled to Gatlinburg this weekend and defeated Jefferson Co. 3-0,  St. George's School 7-1, and Providence Academy 6-0.  This moves the girl's team to  6-1 on the season.  At the tournament, Reily Gusman scored 3 goals and assisted 3 times.  Julia Ann Hamilton, Maddie Degnan, Jill Londre,  and Shelby Clark each scored twice. Maddie also had an assist.  Avery Stojakovich scored once and assisted three times.  Josie Bush, Sofia Kime, and Maria Kime scored once and added an assist.  Nicole Bryson scored the final goal to wrap up the tournament.  The Girl's head back to Murfreesboro, tournament champions for the third time in a row attending this competition.  

The middle school cross-country team competed on Saturday at the Macon Bank Invitational. Our girls team placed 2nd out of 10 teams. The boys were 3rd out of 13 teams. Top finishers were Catherine Zubkus, Elizabeth Hamilton, Carson Phillips, and Brady Barrett. 

The High School Cross Country Team competed in the Coleman Midgett Invitational this past Saturday at Sanders Ferry Park.  The lady tigers were led by Senior captain Mikayla Morrell with a time of 20:40.  Amelia Worsley, Taylor Walker, Ella Anderson, and Anna Niedzielski contributed scores, earning the lady Tigers a 10th place overall finish. Ty Brown led the men's team, shattering his previous personal best with a time of 17:22. Tony Peck, Ben Clemence, Vinny Peck, and Henry Nance rounded out the top 5 and earned the Tigers an 8th place finish. Your Tiger striders will return to action September 10 at the Voyles Classic. 

The high school volleyball JV and Varsity teams competed in the mid-10 classic over the weekend. The JV team finished the weekend 5-2 and defeated Germantown to win the silver bracket. The varsity team finished runner-up in the silver bracket; picking up wins over Macon County, Friendship Christian, Germantown, Webb School and Dyersburg.  The tigers return to action tonight, hosting MTCS. JV at 5, varsity to follow.
