Central Outdoors and Recreational Education (CORE) is a high school club with students who share a passion for the outdoors. This club aspires to have multiple outdoor activities through out the year, like hiking, kayaking, rock climbing, and fishing to name a few. Additionally, we will complete service opportunities that help better our communities environment. There will be an interest meeting for new and old members on Thursday, September 1st after school in Mrs. SK's room, room 116.
Students who would like to be a part of the Tri-M Music Honor Society must submit their signed Acceptance Forms to Mrs. Way-Kiani no later than Wednesday, August 31st.
Do you write songs or compose instrumental music? The Music Writers' Club is open to all Middle and High School students who compose music in any style or genre. This club will provide opportunities for you to share your music and receive feedback from other members. The first information meeting will be this Thursday, September 1 from 3:15 - 3:45 p.m. in Dr. Saxon's classroom (Annex 339). We hope to see you there!
The McDonalds at 106 SE Broad St (corner of SE Broad and Church St) is supporting CMS this year. TODAY, August 30, they are donating 20 % of all sales between 5-8 pm back to CMS. You do not have to state they are with the school or show any identification, just show up and purchase.
The Middle school volleyball JV Team defeated Oakland last night during 3 hard fought sets.9-25, 25-19, &15-12. The varsity team brought their A game, but ended up short in the second set. Ava Douglas, Gracie Goad, Cad Young, and Jada Eskinde had multiple aces. We play Smyrna at home Wednesday at 4:30. Come cheer on your lady tigers!
The high school volleyball team dropped another close one Monday night to MTCS, 25-27, 27-25, 25-15, 16-25 and 15-17. The loss moves the Tigers to 9-9 on the season.
