Tickets for the high school fall play are on sale online now! "Play On!" is a story of a theatre group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Performances are next Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9/22-9/24 at 7pm and Sunday, 9/25, at 5pm. Find a play poster hanging somewhere in the school to scan the QR code to get your tickets in advance. tickets will also be sold at the door. $10 for adults. $5 for students

The Tiger Girls Golf team is your 2022 District Champions! The girls were led by Anna Powell's 76, making her the low medalist for the tourney. That means she was the best golfer on the course yesterday. Lauren Powell was the 2nd best overall with an 80. And to round out the top three scores in the tourney, our own Ellie Schmackle shot an 85. The girls will compete for a Region Championship next Monday along with Tiger golfer Owen Zubkus, who fired a 76 for 4th place overall.
Over the weekend, the High School Cross Country team competed in the Hare and Hounds Invitational in Charlotte, North Carolina. All of the following runners achieved personal best times at this race: Harrison Hamby, Daniel Le, Gavin Mercado, Henry Nance, Vinny Peck, Miles Ritter, Dexter Trageser, Taylor Walker, Jaden Yoder, Carlos Aguiar, Ella Anderson, Ty Brown, and Maebri Cole. In a crowded field, the varsity girls placed 8th overall and they guys placed 9th. The Tigers will travel to North Alabama over Fall Break to compete in the Jesse Owens Classic.
The middle school varsity team lost to Christiana last night. 18-25 and 24-26. The JV team defeated Christiana in 3 hard fought sets. 22-25, 25-15, and 15-13. Leading the team with 4 aces each was Claire Call, Lia Reyes, Cad Young, and Jada Eskind. Emery Bland followed with 3, Olivia Koffman and Gracie Goad had 2. Ava Douglas, Norah Clancey, and Lily Stible each had an ace. Their final district match is this Wednesday against Rockvale. Our JV tournament is Saturday. Varsity tournament starts Monday.
The high school girls soccer team will play Siegel today at 5:30. JV will start at 4:15. Central Magnet students get in free.
The Lady Tigers Middle School Soccer team had a successful night last night honoring their 8th graders. Liya Beyene, Caroline Bogle, Lillie Bryant, Taylor Ertl, Carol Kaldas, Landry LaPointe, Madison Lewis, Mady Oring, Vegas Vaughn, and Catherine Zubkus were all honored for their dedication. The game versus Christiana was a tough, even match that ended in a 1-1 tie. Abbey Mott scored the goal off a brilliant corner kick from Lillie Bryant. The following JV match was a 2-0 victory for the Lady Tigers ending their season with a fantastic 4 and 1 record. Congratulations to all of the Lady Tigers!!
The high school volleyball team picked up a convincing 3-0 win over Smyrna Monday.
