HS Beta members interested in competing at this year's convention need to fill out the interest form on the club website no later than September 22.  New competitions have been added.  Please reference the convention handbook for competition descriptions. 

Student Council is selling Central Magnet yard signs.  There are over 20 different designs, including one for the Class of 2023!  We even have a sign for grandparents. Check out the store at https://rocketshirts.chipply.com/CentralMagnetSigns/.  The store will be open until September 30th. 

High Schoolers!  It is time to order your class shirt.  Go to https://rocketshirts.chipply.com/CMClassShirts/ to see the shirts designed by your classmates.  The store will be open until September 30th.  The shirts will be delivered to students during school in late October.  See a class officer if you have any questions. 

Current Global Issues is hosting a food drive for Nourish Food Bank. Items are being collected in college corner, in the front office, and in room 345 in the annex. If you have any questions, contact Jackie Dummermuth or Aleeza Razzaq. 

Tickets for the high school fall play are on sale online now! "Play On!" is a story of a theatre group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Performances are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9/22-9/24 at 7pm and Sunday, 9/25, at 5pm. Find a play poster hanging somewhere in the school to scan the QR code to get your tickets in advance. tickets will also be sold at the door. $10 for adults. $5 for students

Any sixth grade Central girls who are interested in starting a Cadette Girl Scout Troop that will meet one Monday per month after school, please have a parent contact [email protected].  

The library will be pre-selling Boro Bowls for breakfast on the day of the Pig Out. If you'd like to pre-order a bowl, drop by the library before or after school by Tuesday, September 27th to make your purchase. 

A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Once you evacuate due to a fire, NEVER go back inside a burning building. Once out, stay out. Firefighters will rescue anyone who needs help. 

Congratulations to both the MS boys and MS girls cross-country teams who ran at Rockvale Tuesday afternoon. Both groups raced well enough to earn the title, ""2022 Rutherford County Champions."" The boys were led by Carson Phillips and Brady Barrett. The top girls were Catherine Zubkus and Amelia Bogle. 

On Friday, our boys and girls teams will compete at the Section 3 Qualifier to see if the team gets to compete at the state championship. 

The HS girl's basketball team is looking for a manager for this season. The manager would have various responsibilities in helping with the team. Please see Coach Bush if you are interested.  

The Central Magnet Girl's High School soccer team dropped a close match to Siegel- 2-1 last night.  Julia Ann Hamilton scored the goal off of a pass by Avery Stojakovich.  Alyssa Kini had five saves in goal.  The team travels to take on Page this Thursday for a spot at the top of District 11. 

The High School Girl's JV soccer team tied Siegel HS 1-1 tonight.  The goal came from Breanna Gonzalez off of a cross from Yasmin Zekry. 

The middle school tennis team picked up 2 more wins yesterday against the Dekalb county..  Congratulations to Jayson Brady and Ryder Williams on their 8-0 number 1 doubles victory.  The team takes on middle Tennessee Christian tomorrow and and the district championships are the week after fall break. Please wish them luck. 

The high school volleyball team lost to Lawrence County on Tuesday night three sets to zero. This moves the Tigers to eight and two in district play.

Maddie Porter- 10 assists, 2 bocks, 3 digs, 2 kills 

Central will host Marshall County Thursday night for Senior night. We look forward to celebrating our 7 seniors so please come out to support. JV will be at 5 with the ceremony to follow.
