Middle Schoolers!  Do you love math? Are logic and problem solving your thing?  If the answer is YES, please stop by the TIGER TIME Math Lab with Mr. Kinney in Room 133 during your 6th period study hall.  Central will be joining forces with the MTSU math department to participate in the National Math Counts program.  Interested middle school students can see Mr. Kinney during any 6th period study hall time to express your interest and get more information.  

Student Council is selling Central Magnet yard signs.  There are over 20 different designs, including one for the Class of 2023!  We even have a sign for grandparents. Check out the store at https://rocketshirts.chipply.com/CentralMagnetSigns/.  The store will be open until September 30th. 

High Schoolers!  It is time to order your class shirt.  Go to https://rocketshirts.chipply.com/CMClassShirts/ to see the shirts designed by your classmates.  The store will be open until September 30th.  The shirts will be delivered to students during school in late October.  See a class officer if you have any questions. 

Current Global Issues is hosting a food drive for Nourish Food Bank. Items are being collected in college corner, in the front office, and in room 345 in the annex. If you have any questions, contact Jackie Dummermuth or Aleeza Razzaq. 

Young Life club is back! They will meet Monday night at 7:57 at Brasshorn Coffee  which is at 410 W Lytle St. See you there!

Next week is Spirit Week!   

Join us on Tuesday for a tailgate before the high soccer game. The tailgate will begin at 3:20 and last until the game begins at 4:00.  There will be cornhole and spikeball.  Kona Ice will also be there! Students get in free to the soccer game, so come hang out and support the team as they play Tullahoma.  

Friday, September 30th will be spirit day.  High school will be playing dodgeball as the spirit day activity.  The rules and permission slips are on the Student Council website.  The first 4 teams from each grade to turn all of their permission slips into Mrs SK will be play.  See Ms SK or Dr Hines if you have questions!  

SNHS is hosting Professor Nate Callendar from the Aerospace Department at MTSU on Wednesday the 28th at 3:15 in the Senior Cafeteria. This event is open to anyone who is interested in hearing him speak, but for SNHS members it will be an opportunity to earn two points. You can earn one point for attending and one for bringing snacks or refreshments.  

Students planning on getting their Driver's Permit over Fall Break, please remember you must have a signed SF1010 form from the Attendance office.  Thank you. 

Tickets for the high school fall play are on sale online now! "Play On!" is a story of a theatre group trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty author who keeps revising the script. Performances are next Thursday, Friday and Saturday 9/22-9/24 at 7pm and Sunday, 9/25, at 5pm. Find a play poster hanging somewhere in the school to scan the QR code to get your tickets in advance. tickets will also be sold at the door. $10 for adults. $5 for students  

If you've lost air pods or jewelry, please check with the front office. Other lost & found items may be at the top of the stairs near College Corner. 

Attention all middle school students! The audition packet for The Little Mermaid Jr is now available on Mrs. Sweet’s website for those who are interested in auditioning. There will be a brief informational meeting about auditions at the beginning of CT on Monday morning in Mrs. Sweet’s room: Annex room 344. Those interested in being on a crew may also attend for more information. Auditions are October 11 and callbacks October 12  

Any sixth grade Central girls who are interested in starting a Cadette Girl Scout Troop that will meet one Monday per month after school, please have a parent contact [email protected].  

The library will be pre-selling Boro Bowls for breakfast on the day of the Pig Out. If you'd like to pre-order a bowl, drop by the library before or after school by Tuesday, September 27th to make your purchase. 

A fire can breakout with little or no warning. The more prepared you are, the safer you will be. Once you evacuate due to a fire, NEVER go back inside a burning building. Once out, stay out. Firefighters will rescue anyone who needs help. 

The HS girl's basketball team is looking for a manager for this season. The manager would have various responsibilities in helping with the team. Please see Coach Bush if you are interested.  

High school tennis will have an interest meeting on Tuesday the 27th of September at 6:30 PM. Please check the website for more information. 

Any middle school girls interested in playing softball for the spring season is encouraged to fill out an interest survey. This survey can be found on Coach O'Hara teacher page under links or you can stop by her office located in the gymnasium. No previous playing experience is required! Please fill out this survey by Friday, Sept 30. Season information is forthcoming!  

Attention Middle Schoolers. If you are interested in participating in the kickball games next Friday during Spirit Day, you must get a form from your Social Studies teacher today. All completed and signed forms must be turned in to Mrs. Kime by end of school day on Tuesday, September 27th. As permission slips are turned in, members are assigned to teams until all spots have been filled.  

Middle school tennis took on middle Tennessee Christian yesterday with the girls bringing home the win and the   Is boys Suffering a tough defeat at the hands of a strong team. 2 matches remain in the regular season!
