Attention seniors! After the ACT on Tuesday ,October 18th, you may be dismissed from school if you have parental permission. Forms for your parents to sign will be handed out and collected in your English classes. Due to the number of students dismissing, we will not be able to accept calls or texts after completion of the test. Please have your parents sign the form and return by Friday, October 14th. 

College Corner will host Auburn University on Tuesday, Oct. 18 during C and D lunches. Stop by and learn more! 

Rho Kappa - Honor Society for Social Studies is currently accepting applications for this school year. All applicants must have taken two AP Social Studies courses and have a 3.0 GPA. Applications can be found on Mr. Eldridge's website under the Rho Kappa tab. Be sure to print out the completed application and submit a copy of your transcript no later than 10/28/2022 

Club pictures will be taken this Friday, October 10th, in the gym. You can find a schedule for these pictures on the CMS webpage. Be sure you take a moment before Friday to look at the schedule and make a note of the time of your club picture and the camera number for your picture. Contact Ms. Quinn if you have any questions. 

The International Thespian Society is hosting its first ever Haunted House event! The haunted house will be the weekend of October 14-16 from 7-9 pm all three nights. It will take place in the annex and lead out into the courtyard where a themed bake sale and face painting will be happening.  It is $7 for admittance to the haunted house. This is sure to be one spooky, scary haunted house! you don't want to miss this!!  

The library is hosting a trivia lunch on Monday, October 17 during A/B lunch blocks for middle school & C/D lunch blocks for high school. We will have pizza and trivia for $10. Sign up by scanning the QR code or entering the link provided on the “Pizza & Play” flyers posted around the school. There are a limited number of slots available, so sign up and bring your money by Thursday, October 13th to the library.  

Varsity HS Cheer will sell Smoothies from Smoothie King on Wednesday for $6.00.  Choose from Angel Food, Strawberry Kiwi Breeze, and Caribbean Way.   

The High School Volleyball team is your Region 5 Champion! After defeating a very talented Valor team in the semifinals, the Tigers faced off against District foe Lawrence County for the 4th time this season. Central won the first set before dropping the next two. They faced 4 match points points in the 4th set trailing 24-20, but found a way to extend that set, winning it 30-28! A tightly fought 5th resulted in a 15-12 Tiger victory and the first Region title in school history.  

Central will host Sycamore high school on Thursday night in the sectional tournament, with a berth to the state tournament on the line. Game will be at 7 PM. Please make plans to come out and support! 

The high school girl's soccer team is headed to the district Championship.  Last night they defeated Tullahoma 2-0.  The goal scoring came from an own goal off of a corner kick by Maria Kime and Claudia Mitchell converted a pass from Julia Ann Hamilton to make it 2-0.  Alyssa Kini had a great game in goal with 5 saves.
