Any student planning on taking the AAPPL (pronounced "apple") or ALIRA (pronounced "ah-leer-ah") this November to earn the Seal of Biliteracy needs to register for the test online and pay Mrs. Dixon in Room #221 by this Friday, Oct. 21st.  

The library will be closed today to set up the book fair. Next week, the book fair will be open daily from 7:30-3:30 and we will only be conducting book fair business all day. Students will need to work on classwork in their study hall next week. Printing will be available before and after school each day of the book fair.  

Rho Kappa - Honor Society for Social Studies is currently accepting applications for this school year. All applicants must have taken two AP Social Studies courses and have a 3.0 GPA. Applications can be found on Mr. Eldridge's website under the Rho Kappa tab. Be sure to print out the completed application and submit a copy of your transcript no later than 10/28/2022

The Central Entrepreneurship Organization will be hosting a guest speaker on entrepreneurship and the struggles faced by small business owners during club rotation C on Monday, October 24. Everyone is welcome! 

Young Life club is back Monday night at 7:57 and will meet at Grace Martindale’s house! Be there for the best night of the week!  

CENTRAL MAGNET DECA will be hosting a Spirit Night at Newk's located at 149 Wendelwood Drive off Memorial Blvd on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A percentage of sales will be donated to DECA. This applies to Dine-In, To-Go, Online Orders and Curbside orders. Let them know you are with DECA. Thank you for your support of our DECA chapter.  

Coffee Shop is back in BUSINESS!! We are selling iced/hot coffee, hot chocolate and cookies.  

We will be open next week on Monday 10/24, Wednesday 10/26 and Friday 10/28.   

College Corner will host Western Kentucky Honors College, Mayville College, and the United States Naval Academy on Tuesday, Oct. 25 during C and D lunch. Stop by to learn more!

 If you are interested in applying for the TN Promise, (two years free community college), the deadline is November 1. See your counselor for more information. 

Health Heroes of TN will be sponsoring a Flu Vaccine Clinic at CMS on Wednesday, October 26th FREE OF CHARGE!! For students only. You must have parental consent to participate. Consent forms will be passed out through your 1st period class Monday and/or Tuesday. Information is also on the school's web page. Consent forms can be turned into Nurse Anderson. 

We had a great concert last night, and we wanted to thank all of you who stopped by. We will be working on clearing the stage and cleaning up the auditorium during CT, and any high school students who would like to come help us are welcome and appreciated. 

Thanks again for all of your support and we hope to see you on December 6th for the Middle School Winter Concert and December 8th for the High School Winter Concert. 

The HS girls' basketball team is selling Christmas Wreaths from now until Nov. 16th! See one of the players or Coach Bush to order yours! 

The Men's High School basketball team is looking for another manager for the 2022-2023 season. 

If you have interest in a manager position on the men's basketball team- contact Coach Worsley or Coach Lanier. 

Your high school girls’ soccer team dropped a tight match last night 1-0 to Page in the region championship.  Alyssa Kini had 3 saves in goal.  The team moves on to play in the Sectional match this Saturday at 6pm.  The game will be played at Rose Park, near Belmont.  Cost is $8 in advance or $10 at the gate.  The girl's hope you can be there and be loud!

Attention all MS and HS students...On Friday 10/28 from 3-7 HP Campus School (our neighbors) will be having their Fall Festival. They are in need of student volunteers to help with a variety of games/inflatables.
