Rho Kappa - Honor Society for Social Studies is currently accepting applications for this school year. All applicants must have taken two AP Social Studies courses and have a 3.0 GPA. Applications can be found on Mr. Eldridge's website under the Rho Kappa tab. Be sure to print out the completed application and submit a copy of your transcript no later than 10/28/2022 

CENTRAL MAGNET DECA will be hosting a Spirit Night at Newk's located at 149 Wendelwood Drive off Memorial Blvd on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A percentage of sales will be donated to DECA. This applies to Dine-In, To-Go, Online Orders and Curbside orders. Let them know you are with DECA. Thank you for your support of our DECA chapter.  

Coffee Shop is back in BUSINESS!! We are selling iced/hot coffee, hot chocolate and cookies.  We will be open again this week on Wednesday 10/26 and Friday 10/28.   

Help save 3 lives by being a blood donor! HOSA is hosting a blood drive here at Central on Thursday, November 10th from 7:30 to 1:30 in the gym. The sign-up is located on Central's main page, Mrs. Harrison's main page, and the HOSA webpage. If you cannot be a blood donor encourage family and friends to donate. If you are not yet 18 you will need a parent permission form-see Mrs. Harrison to pick that up! 

Key Club is having a Donation drive to benefit the Domestic Violence Shelter from October 17-November 4, 2022.  Supplies needed: Body wash, bottled water, deodorant, nonperishable lunch items, dish liquid laundry detergent/dryer sheets, household cleaners, mouthwash, paper towels, toilet paper, sanitizer, shampoo/conditioner. College Corner will be hosting Western Kentucky Honors College, Mayville College, and the United States Naval Academy today during C and D lunch. Stop by to learn more! 

Juniors - The counseling department will host a meeting for you and your parents to discuss junior year planning on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 6:00 in the auditorium.  

Seniors - If you are interested in applying for the TN Promise, (two years free community college), the deadline is November 1. See your counselor for more information. 

The Health for Heroes Flu Clinic has been cancelled at this time. If another date opens up in the schedule, we will let you know. 

All concessions will be sold again today and Wednesday at the book fair. Only cash is accepted. Middle school students will only attend the book fair from Ms. Cindy Davis, Mr. Patterson, or Ms. Tipton's classes. High school students may get passes to attend the book fair today. Passes are for every 20 minutes, so please watch your time. 

The HS girls' basketball team is selling Christmas Wreaths from now until Nov. 16th! See one of the players or coach Bush to order yours! 

The Men's High School basketball team is looking for another manager for the 2022-2023 season. If you have interest in a manager position on the men's basketball team- contact Coach Worsley or Coach Lanier. 

Congrats to the HS girl's soccer team for qualifying for the 4th consecutive state Tournament.  They played Valor Collegiate to a 0-0 draw on Saturday night in Nashville.  The match went all the way to penalty kicks.  At the end of 5 kicks, it was tied 3-3 thanks to a save by Alyssa Kini on the 5th kick by Valor.  On the 8th kick Alyssa made a save and Maddie Degnan converted for the win.  Reily Gusman, Maddie Degnan, Shelby Clark, and Julia Ann Hamilton all converted penalties. The Girl's will head down to Chattanooga on Wednesday to play Seymour High School at 6:30.

Attention all MS and HS students...On Friday 10/28 from 3-7 HP Campus School (our neighbors) will be having their Fall Festival. They are in need of student volunteers to help with a variety of games/inflatables.
